I bought this book for a friend, who was another who previously thought his life had been ruined by Manchester United. I support another team, so I will not be reading it. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the book and read it from cover to cover almost immediately. He enjoyed the jokey style and picked up new facts or was reminded of forgotten history throughout. He is now lending the book to his fellow City aficionados. His only disappointment was that the book was published in 2015 and needs updating for the subsequent seasons.

As a City fan it's been important to have a very good sense of humor over the years. The author has done a very good job of expressing that very typical City humor. A good light reading book that will have you laughing out loud on numerous occasions.

Being a Manchester City fan means having a unique and sarcastic sense of humor and Mike Devlin couldn't do a better job transitioning this core concept to the page. This book will take you on a comical journey through the history of the one true club based in Manchester. The resulting product is a hilarious and a fun read. I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted to learn about their club whilst having a laugh.

Downright painful to read. Instead of finding it witty, I found it tiresome and overdone. The author tries to mix sarcastic humor with made up stories and historical fact; he just can't pull it off. After tiring of the same redundant theme of jokes I threw the book out before finishing. Don't waste your money.
