The product included instructions for installation which made it clear why the original item failed. I was able to check all music stands (same brand) and identify those that had improper installation and fixed all. Thanks.

Good replacement part for Manhasset #48 stand - fits like original. Wish it was 100% metal - the plastic part breaks if stand is knocked over.

The describtion does not tell you the style it fits I finally got it on my old stand but who knows how long it will hold up.

I bought the only to find that I couldn't get the twist lock tight enough to hold the desk in place when I raised or lowered the shaft. I swapped the Voyager neck assembly with this neck assembly replacement part, and now the desk stays on the shaft. It means I need to carry a screwdriver to install and remove the desk from the shaft, but now my stand is very sturdy.

I used the Manhasset 74 Model #74 Neck Assembly and a Manhasset 2400 Shaft Lock to tighten up a basic 30 year old Manhasset stand. Not only will it hold a bunch of music and allow me to make notes without sagging, I am also able to tighten things down to the point where it will now support a 3’ x 5’ white board clamped to the tray and with the white board tilted back at about a comfortable 10 degree angle, be able to write on the furthest edges and top or bottom without any twist.
