I’m 6’3” and it’s nice to have a taller stand - when I’m standing that is... However at its lowest setting it may be too tall for some seated players. It’s well made and thank you Manhassett stand company for still making them in the USA.

I like this music stand because it extends high enough to enable me to play my trombone while standing up, and the base rests securely on the floor without easily tipping. One caution that I would recommend to users: It takes a fair amount of force to raise or lower the stand, which is good because it stays in place even if several music books are placed on it, but I would not stand directly over it if you are going to pull it upward by the desk portion of the stand. If this portion would come loose while pulling up on it, it could hit you in your face and do some damage. Either pull it upward by grabbing on to the upper portion of the support pole, or if you want to pull upward on the desk portion, stand to the side just to be safe.
