How to pack
1. Squeeze the handle and lift the clamped jaw
2. Pass the end of the strap through the back of the tool under the gripper, leaving about 1 inch of overhang space in front of the tool.
3. Wrap the goods with tape
4. Pass the end of the tape still connected to the coil through the tool housing and shaft groove
5. Turn the handle to tighten the belt
6. Put the sealing tape and use the sealing coil
7. Pinch the handle and cut the tape

Got this gizmo for home use to band tree branches as required for garbage pickup. The verbiage in the 'manual' is quite amusing. Had to go by the pictures and a bit of trial and error to determine the best operation.My situation was a bit different as I wasn't trying to band a solid object; it was bundles of tree branches, so I was using the banding and ratchet tool as a tensioner. I found there is a very fine line between putting enough tension on the bundle to keep it from falling apart during the 'snatch and jerk' lift and carry to the curb and complete obliteration the band. And yes, this tensioner will RUD (Rapid, Unexpected Destruction) the band in a most rude way.

It was so cheap, I worried it would be flimsy or plastic, but it’s sturdy and hefty. I’m buying another one for the other side of our sawmill yard.
