Pretty good stand and easy adjustments. I really liked the black coating. The lowest height for the basket is about 18". I have an 8" deep snare and needed something lower so I cut the tubing down by an inch and works great. You can also remove the locking ring to get an extra 1/2".

What I like most is the adjustability of the stand. The stand can work well with multiple playing styles, such as tilting it for traditional grip/jazz drumming, while remaining sturdy. It works well, even with my fairly tall snare drum. It collapses easily into a lower profile. I also enjoy the black finish.

I bought this snare stand to replace the lightly-constructed one that came with my electronic drum set. Since I'm a hard-hitter, the previous one I had kept moving and shaking, so I decided to get a sturdier one, and I hit bullseye with this one from Mapex. It's heavy, very well built and offers adjustments of all kinds. It can be positioned in whatever way you like. It can move after a while (like all snare stands for that matter), but doesn't shake in a significant way. The fact that it's double-braced and is heavy makes it a very stable snare stand. I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase and regret not getting this stand before.

Bought this for my husband's handpan and he is really enjoying it! It is super sturdy, and it also keeps the handpan in place (it doesn't move). So, if husband is happy, I'm happy.

This is a heavy bit of kit - I decided I wanted to go for an investment rather than something I would have to replace in a few years, and this is certainly that! Probably not ideal as an orchestral side drum stand as it doesn't extend particularly high; it'll be fine for me but it's probably better used in a kit situation. All joins and screws nice and smooth, and I like the black. It might chip over time, but I plan on looking after it so hopefully it'll serve me well! Overall - good quality bit of hardware and it looks cool.

Very sturdy, well constructed snare drum stand with plenty of room for adjustment. The black powder coat looks great. I've had this stand for about a year, and I've had no problems with it at all. The finish still looks perfect. Given the features, I don't think you'll find a more reasonably priced snare stand. I'm thoroughly satisfied with this stand.

Increíble. Muy buen atril. Sólido. Súper fácil para ajustar. Se puede ajustar a alturas muy bajas si tienes cajas de 8 pulgadas.

This snare stand came in a lot quicker than I had expected to and I really have no problems with it at the moment. Time will tell tough I reckon. I set this thing up with my practice pad and beat on it for a good hour or so and it seems pretty sturdy. There was only one other comment on this saying that it didn't go low enough for someone, and I'm having trouble understanding how that's possible. A snare drum is suppose to be around bellybutton height and in my normal sitting position I had to raise the thing up so I could reach it comfortably. The other person must be extremely short, sitting way too low, or couldn't figure out how to adjust the height of the stand. I'm not trying to bash this guy/gal, but I'm not terribly tall (5'7" respectively) and I have no problems using this stand. If anything comes up I will be sure to comment on it, but at the moment I have no problems.
