Rating is 2 stars bc it has to be drilled out to fit a 1/2” shaft. I would have rated it 4 stars if actually fit a 1/2 shaft and needed no mods.As others have said, the bore is not 1/2”. I was able to fit a 15/32" drill bit but not a 1/2" bit. If you have a way to hold it securely and drill it square, on axis, it can be drilled pretty easily.I’m using it to align shafts on a spare tire lift on an RV. Guessing about 30-40 ft-lbs is being applied when the shaft is fully tightened to hold the spare up snug. This U-Joint could probably take much more but the torque limit isn’t given. It appears to be all mild steel and the pins in the u-joint are about 3/16” diameter.

Nice U joint but not 1/2”. I was able to grind down the rods I was connecting to. So just be aware. I did not try to connect with seller so not sure if they would make it right

I needed a motor connector to a shaft that was offset slightly to the motor. This works in that type of application. I would not use it for something that was at a right angle to the shaft though. To me, I believe these work out best 45 degrees or less from straight on. That way less pivoting has to occur. This seems to be very well made, and works just like a car's universal joint. Very pleased with it so far. Time will tell how it holds up in the long run.

This Coupling has everything you need for application. If you have an off set drive shaft, then you will need this. It is well made and sturdy and should withstand some of the most brutal application needs.

This universal joint is supposed to be able to fit a 0.5 inch diameter rod. It will not. the opening is too small. do not buy.
