Product Description

Marine LED Light Saver

Marine LED Light Saver

This liquid-activated signaling device with an ultra-bright L.E.D. is designed to enhance visibility while in water, up to a one mile radius from any type of watercraft. This device is perfect for fishing, kayaking, rafting, water skiing, tubing and more! Inspired by Government issued water-activated safety strobes that attach to life vests on commercial airlines, the Light Saver securely fits onto a life ring or life vest with a built-in, durable lanyard and clip. The Light Saver comes equipped with double insulated wiring, is waterproof and engineered to stay afloat. Because the LED sensor is water activated, once it dries off, the device will turn off which helps to conserve the battery life for many more uses. This device does come with 3 AG13 batteries for 80-100 hours of constant use, and are easily replaceable by screwing the cap off of the device.

I ordered 6 of these... I had slight trouble with one of them but removing the battery cap and tweaking the wire a little fixed it. These are fantastic...bright enough to make someone visible in the water but no so bright it will blind you if it gets activated. A must have if you are on a boat at night!Edit: I am editing my review and downgrading to 4 stars... while these are great, I have to just shake my head... They designed them so that the two contacts that trigger the strobe protrude from the unit.. this means if you wear one around your neck with no shirt on, the contacts are likely to touch your skin and set the unit off... Why these would not be flush or even recessed is beyond me... So you basically have to put them under your shirt, or if you are not wearing a shirt, expect them to go off occasionally.... What Goofball engineered this?

Highly visible strobe light that can easily be seen from a distance. Small, compact, attached by slip ring to a life jacket. Can be a life saver. Many other uses too.

This light never turned off again once it became submerged. It’s been open to dry now for 25 hours and still no change: the light comes straight back on once the batteries are replaced-as you can tell, only removing the batteries will turn off the light. I recommend the light to work if you fall overboard, but then it’s a turkey… so far.
