Well made and plays beautiful Christmas songs each hour. The little elf comes out and Christmas music plays softly throughout my home love it! I had an old one from my mom that finally quit left batteries in it

The music is sweet, but there is a definite problem with the doors. In order to open them I had to remove a battery and replace it - every day. Then, even with this the doors would not open. No open doors, no music. This happened after only a few days that I had possession of the clock. Save yourself the trouble of returning it. Don't buy it.

The specifications and instructions are not clear.The diagram states method to attach the pendulum but the picture is unclear and I have been trying for past 30 minutes with no luck in the installation of pendulum. There is no instruction on Amazon that a special type of battery - "C" battery is required for this clock. This battery is not readily available in retail shops in Bangalore. In the absence of these details I am not able to use my clock for several days and still searching for battery to use my clock.

This is a wonderful clock. Very cute and adorable and works well. The Christmas song chimes are not too loud and the clock has a light scenser that turns off the cuckoo sound when the room is dark. This clock is well worth the price and a great addition to our Christmas decorations around the house.

I bought this item as a gift to the family to add the extra fun of the singing elf cuckoo for the holidays. The item is quite nice yet it is lacking in a few ways. The elf does get stuck routinely while out and you have to push it back in and the elf has gotten stuck and not come out (the instructions talk about this and you have to reset the elf by removing/replacing the battery). We enjoy it nonetheless.

UPDATE Decemeber 2012 This is the 2nd year we have put this clock up and it still works wonderfully. (hint keep original box for packing it away and remove batteries) It may be plastic and stickers (as some reviewers said) but it is very nicely made and works beautifully, Chiming on the hour with different Christmas tunes. It is still very cool and I am very glad I purchased it. I included a picture of mine on the wall with the elf out the door *ORIGINAL REVIEWMy wife is holiday kitschasaurus. She loves putting out dust collecting ...curios... around holidays. I replaced our old busted clock with this one after much searching for something different and cool.It was wasy to assemble, easy to set, easy to hang and is much cooler in person than in the picture. The little dude pops out and plays different tunes on the hour. Its not overly loud but is definitely loud enough.It IS the coolest Christmas clock I have seen.I hope it is long lasting. Its seems fairly well made.

This clock looks much better in life than on the website.The pendulum moves and on the hour a different carol plays and the elf pops out.When I received the clock I set it up to check that it actually worked before I started using it for the Christmas season, a neighbour called in and commented on how cute this looked and the fact that she had never seen anything like this. Another friend called in to check it out and ended up buying one herself. This is a really unique find for anyone who loves Christmas decor. I can't wait for December now.
