My seven year old enjoys playing softball in the yard. We can't use a full weight ball and he doesn't want to use a wiffle ball so I bought this for its light weight. We had a two ounce ball before but those are hard to find. This one works great and reacts more like a real baseball.

I use this exact one for warmup before games, if you can toss this for 5-10 minutes before your game, a regular softball will feel weightless, it’s awesome! Also helps build arm strength. Great addition for any softball player!

Somewhat miss leading when a weighted softball is actually lighter than a regular softball. Regular weight is 6.6 oz and your weighted one is 5 oz. Same thing for the 7 oz ball. You pay big time for the same weight. The 9 and 11 oz models are more like it

My daughter plays 8u softball and has been using this ball to help increase her arm strength. This ball weighs around 5oz more than a traditional softball so you can really tell the difference when throwing it.There is a warning on the box that the ball shouldn’t be used to play catch, which I originally laughed at, but it does make sense. The extra weight makes it more painful for a younger player to catch, so we’ve only been using it for ground balls. It does seem to be holding up well and the laces are in great shape.

Nice weight to work on the longer harder throws. My 7yo worked on throwing straight and harder. Made her throws with a regular softball flatter and faster.

Got this for my daughter to work on speed and she loves it. Not too heavy and feels like a normal ball in hand. It has raised laces for a good grip

The gray is a much darker gray than the picture shows, so you would definitely be able to tell the difference between this and another white ball. 11oz seems fairly light, I might suggest a 12oz or greater ball for the men. Overall, high quality. Worth the money!
