I absolutely love this ball. It is super easy to use and is very helpful in estimating how fast my softball pitchers are throwing. I use it during my pitching lessons to track speed during different parts of the lesson. I would recommend buying it and having your players throw 2 to 3 time and take the average. Much more convenient than holding the speed gun each time.

I mean, for the price, it did as expected. You adjust your distance when setting up the ball and make sure when pitching you're at the correct distance. I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate, but it's not far off what my daughter's pitching coach measures her speed at with an actual radar. And it serves my main purpose, to try and get her to beat her record.

The ball works pretty well and unlike some comments I have seen, it's pretty durable. We've had this ball for over one year (pitcher is 13 years old) and it still works fine even though it has scraped the concrete several times. The key is to not throw it off of a wall or another hard surface or the ball might break. The downside is that the speed isn't correct, it exaggerates the speed by around 5-6 mph. Still recommend this ball, especially for the price compared to traditional radar guns.

We like to use the speed ball to ensure consistent pitching speed and the change in fastball vs change up. Works great for our purposes.

I purchased one of these balls years ago and used it off and on for about ten years. This new one (fresh out of the pack) worked maybe twice out of fifty attempts. Very frustrating !
