*BE Sure to apply dielectric grease onto the underside metal portion of the ECU, which is the heat dissipating sink. So the it can share and shed its heat to the metal mounting plate, it bolts to! This will keep it from over heating and failing early(perhaps why/like some reviewers have mentioned theirs did). The product should have such instructions but it does not! Ask Chatgpt can tell you why this is needed.98 Buick Century, 3.1 v6, 110k miles:Engine stalling at times, especially at 1/2 to full throttle any speed, as if someone turned off the ignition. Engine not starting at times after recently driving, but would start the next day after completely cooling down. This ICM is probably made at the same factory as other brands. Brand name was like stamped onto the unit.Install is easy enough: using 5.5 mm socket, remove 3 coil’s attachment of 6 bolts(3 in the back). Note plug wires and coil positions. Leave wires on. Coils lift off ICM. Ideally add some dielectric grease to 6 male spade contacts and reinstall coils onto.Make sure ICM’s 2 locating pins are positioned into base plate mounting holes.Do Not over tighten 6 bolts. After success is well confirmed, consider removing and cleaning vehicle’s MAF sensor with approved spray as well as AIC valve and throttle body throat. For better idle and mph if over due. See online for how to.Take care

The module works fine thus far and haven't experienced the sort of misfires and such that others have reported. Hopefully it will function the way it should despite being made in China. Time will tell if it functions in the summer heat which is when the original one failed.

This part worked out very well for me. Delivery was off the charts- except that the protective packing is getting a bit thin at amzn. It should be improved. Don't go overboard on the the greenie thing at the expense of damaging sensitive parts while in transit. But generally I'm happy with all the parts I've ordered from amzn. Very convenient.

This fixed my misfire on my 98 Buick Century.I cannot speak for its longevity but I was able to return the $96 one back to Orileys due to this being WAY more inexpensive.

This product failed within 24 hours of the installation. Worked fine for 1 day and then the car went right back to misfiring and no fire sometimes.
