Product is well made overall, but one works better than the other. Strangely, I ordered 2 at the same time but received them in different packages on different days. The "locking" end cap stays securely in place when moved from straight out to 90 degrees (can be moved in either direction). My reason for 4 stars is one gives me a harder time pulling out the moving end/lock at 90 degrees. Once moved it to remains secure. I will try a little WD40 and if not better, may send it back for an exchange. Overall for securing the tailgate of my utility trailer it is a marked improvement from pushing/pulling a cotter pin in/out.

I like these quite a bit actually. Will never have to deal with finicky rusty cotter pins again. To those who think they are lockable because it has ‘masters’ name. Seriously?

I really like these hitch pins, much easier to lock in place than the ones with hair pins. No scraped knuckles.

What a perfect upgrade from the old pin and clip style pin! I chose this one, because I don't leave my hitch on my vehicle unless I'm carrying our bikes, or pulling a trailer, so ... not too worried about rust. If I was going to leave it on my vehicle all the time, I would have gone for the stainless version. In any event- I'm very satisfied with my purchase ...

Great hitch pin! I love not having to use those stupid little metal pin clip things that always pinch me or get lost. This pivoting one works great and is so easy.

great, simple, easy to use, no struggling with a weathered clip and pin hole in the cold. The stainless version has some sharp machining edges on the actual pin. pivot works and locks in well on both.

I purchased this Pivot Lock hitch pin beleiving it actually locks, since it is manufactured by Master Lock. Wrong answer. It's not worth returning, but I certainly wouldn't waste money on this, no better than any other non locking hitch pin.It does seem to be of good quality, but the lock is what I wanted, this product provides zero security over any standard hitch pin
