the overall shape of the lock makes it perfect for my gun case and the fact that these are tsa approved is a big plus if I ever plan on traveling with the case. The shackle is sturdy and the word combination is good enough to satisfy me.

Ok product, however the numerical lock is, in my opinion, a better option. The alphabet lock, in general, limits one to selected words provided in the instructions. No complaints about the overall quality of the lock. Just a personal nail preference for the numeric combinations.

Easy to set combo, although can be predictable. There are only so many words to be spelled with four letters, and most are typed in the instructions. These will keep all but the most determined individual out of your stuff. The clasp is thin enough for my pelican box and helps keep lookie loos out. I'm sure they could easily be bypassed with enough time or bolt cutters, however they do provide just enough security for the airport. Great product, def recommend!

This is a great set of locks, and they are really quite large. 4.5 inches from top to bottom.I'm betting some people don't read the description carefully. The photos make it look like a couple of zipper locks. I used these to lock up a pelican case for an overseas trip and they even seemed a little large for that purpose.Beautiful sturdy locks that are easy to set.

I purchased these locks for my Pelican 1510 case for a European trip.I have no idea if European security can open the TSA type locks, so I bought two sets.These have a nice feature where they have alpha numeric combinations, so you can use words or parts of a word for the combination.The shank is a little more robust than some others, and the loop design works well for the 1510.I would like to see a deeper sleeve to close the lock - all TSA locks are still nothing more than one step up from a "toy".Good lock, held up well, and great for the larger Pelican cases

We went on a cruise and these TSA locks worked great. It was easy to identify our luggage when it came off the carousal and the bus. This TSA lock is easy to use and easy to set. Love the word combination, it is easy to remember. The curve in the handle part of the lock is actually better than the previous locks that I purchased. They seem to come off the luggage easier when unpacking. These locks are very durable when your luggage is being tossed around at the airport. Our son is using one for his back pack when he is travelling, especially through crowded terminals and tourist areas.
