These hold up well. My son got his first pair at his Jr Lifeguard uniform sale & liked them so much that he just asked me to purchase the same ones a size up for the following year. The elastic & color holds up well after continued use.

I signed my son up for jr guards this year - and found these shorts online, at first I thought they were a great find. But once I received them I was bummed to realize they ran a lot bigger than the size chart, and reviews led on, not only around the waist but the length too! My son is on the taller side for his age, so the length isn't typically an issue. the quality seems decent but the description, not so much. I also wasn't happy to be stuck with the return postage cost, being an amazon prime member and having to pay for the return shipping cost is a huge disappointment.

I purchased a youth large, as my son wears between a medium and large in bottoms. However, this was very much too small and tight. In addition, it did not have an inner mesh liner and that was not clear in the description. Swim trunks should have that. If they do not, they are board shorts and the description just wasn't clear about this. Customer service was find on return.
