I've owned these MAVA Sports Men's Compression Short for about two years. I own two pair of compression shorts. The shorts from MAVA and a pair from TSLA (CLXS). I like (and recommend) both. But it depends on what you're looking for. The MAVA are serious compression shorts with tougher material that provides solid, firm compression around the thighs/hips/abdomen. The TSLA shorts are lighter material with lighter compression. I found the fit of both products to be accurate. I have a 31" waist and I ordered medium in both. My MAVA pants have a draw string. Unfortunately, when it comes to compression pants, you just have to try them on to see if they're right for you. If you want serious compression, go with MAVA.

I thought I ordered a large, apparently not as I received a medium. I ordered a medium in the gym shorts only, apparently they shipped both in a medium. These fit extremely tight compressing the genitalia into oblivion. I’ll donate them to goodwill and possibly reorder.

I am totally impressed with these shirts. Here’s why:- perfect fit- very high quality material- waistline does not slip, even has a draw string if you want to use it. I don’t have to.- this is the highest quality of compression shorts for the money. It’s right up there with BioSkins for much less.- helps my hamstrings considerably.- don’t be fooled by how light these are. Once you put them on, stretching them into place, you’ll be extremely happy with this product.- When I get back into active sports, I’ll wear these every day.- Comfortable enough for everyday wear if you have a groin or hamstring issue.- I gave searched everywhere for real compression shorts. These are the real deal. They have to be new to the market ‘cause I would have purchased them already.- best value for the money. I have found none other that come close.- I’ll be buying more. After doing extensive reading on Mava's actual site, I decided to take the chance and get these when my old pair of compression shorts completely gave out.I'm in the gym 5 days (at least) a week and since I suffer from severe fibromyalgia (which causes widespread, constant muscle pain), compression shorts have been a lifesaver for my hips and thighs. And these particular shorts have been the best set I've owned.I bought a medium as I'm 5'9", 140lbs, and wear 32x32 (though sometimes I'm a 30x32, depending on brand). They're a little difficult to get up over my thighs but once they're settled the fit is perfect. They don't slip down, don't ride up, and add just the perfect amount of support and compression I need. I wear them every single time I'm at the gym and my workouts are cardio-intensive and I do a lot of weightlifting.However, with mine I removed the draw string as they sit tight enough on my waist that I didn't need the extra help. Also for the first few washes, I had random fly away strings that I had to cut down. I wash them in cold water and dry on medium heat and have had them for at least 6 months now.Would definitely recommend and plan to buy the full compression pants for the winter months and a new set of shorts when this current pair give out.

I bought two pair of XL and they fit great. Tight for compression but not uncomfortable. I where them under shorts or sweats for working out and for hiking. The string tie is completely unnecessary so I removed them. They stay in place without the string. I tried some other brands but then bought the second pair because the material was higher quality and they remained comfortable during an entire workout or long hike.

I was surprised at how small these were when I received them, and how thick the fabric was. I was afraid they wouldn't stretch to accommodate my thicker thighs. I bought them to play rugby, and they seem ideal for it. They are skin tight (some may even think a little too tight at the bottom cuff along the thigh) and are almost impossible to grab from the side. The waist doesn't grip as tightly as the bottom cuff but has a drawstring if you feel the need to tie them up. The thicker material definitely provides compression and support; I would recommend these for any athlete in any sport that needs some support.If I were able to cut a half star away, I would. The tightness is great, but without a built-in pouch for all my man-bits, it gets a little crowded. I would love to see these exact tights with a front pouch to accommodate a man, but this will not stop me from buying another pair, a full length pair, and other products from this company.

This is my second purchase of these compression shorts. I am extremely satisfied with this product and the seller. Material, construction, fit and compression are excellent. I am 5'9;, now weigh 162 and have a 34/35 waist and the Size Large still fits perfectly. I use these Compression Short Leggings mainly working outdoors doing Landscaping and Lawn work. They are extremely comfortable and provide muscle support for constant movement, bending, lifting, etc. In my experience, most sport under gear made in China are better suited to the learner, boyish Asian male body and do not always provide the firmer compression required of American males. Also, the size charts can be misleading. MAVA gets it right on all counts. They have earned my recommendation.
