It's been about three years since I bought this kit. One of the 2 food packs failed and has started to puff up. The kit has some cool stuff in it but the food which is manufactured by them only lasted about half of the time it should have and that is a big problem. Luckily I decided to check it out because we have a newborn and I wanted to update the kit with some things for her. I will likely buy food from another supplier and so should you.

I like the fact that it can be used as a toilet, too.

A very reasonably priced option to get almost everything you need in a survival kit. Waaaaay cheaper than buying all the items separately actually. I can't recommend this enough for anyone looking to begin preparing for any reason. This is the bare minimum you will want to have on hand during an emergency/ disaster.

Purchased this for myself and others for my family for Christmas. My kids who live down south thought it was a great idea. It was the best priced one that included the toilet seat. I added a few extra goodies like a can opener and flint, larger roll of duck tape. I volunteer for a our local MRC (Medical Resource Corp) and found that this is just what they suggested we all have for an emergency. Not a bad idea to keep in your car if you have the room along with blankets in the winter if you get stranded. It has everything you need if you get stranded.

This has everything you would need in an emergency. I would have given it a 5 star rating, except that as we opened the bucket, there was a very pronounced cigarette smell. So, i'm guessing, the person who packed it is a smoker. The company should not allow the employees who pack the buckets to smoke around the buckets, or items that go in them.

I thought it best to get something that made sense, practical, efficient and somewhat a space saver in the event of...perhaps we should call it...a mis-adventure of environmental conditions. The items listed were all packed nicely in this...bin...that can be used for...the inevitable disaster when things go wrong from a plumbing perspective. It's in my basement for that just in case moment along with other items that pertain to survival and sustainability. This product provides a basis for what is needed, in case you need it.Like for instance, a lot more plastic bags of some sort to use with this little red bin, rubbing alcohol and paper towel to act as...cleaning items that need to be cleaned - thoroughly, water purifier tablets, etc. The list goes on. It took me a long time, after sitting there staring at the items in this purchase, to discover that humans require a good deal of things to survive and I discovered that it's the simple, portable, efficient items that matter most.
