So, there is some slight play because of the posts length vs the hanging loop width. The posts are just a bit longer than the hanging loops, but this may be to prevent squeaking? This play has the seat able to move a tad side to side, but it's nothing serious or I'd of returned it.But the main mounting posts that secure into the toilet base are a unique setup, some simplistic engineering. First, the plastic nuts have torque limiting on them. In other words, when you wrench them down, the lower nut shears off to not allow you to over-tighten them. Then the lid lock down is incredibly simple as well, don't over think it, its that easy.So far I've liked this setup and the seat is very comfortable, I hope you enjoy it as I have.

Mayfair’s workmanship has gone down . The material has buckled on 3 of these toilet seats that I have purchased at different stores. Did hav3 same toilet seat 2 years ago and it was super.
