Exhaust backpressure costs you money, because it takes energy to push exhaust gases out through the tailpipe, energy that comes from the fuel youre paying through the nose for. It also costs you power, because any residual exhaust gas left in the cylinder prevents fresh air from being drawn in on the intake stroke. This massive pipe attaches to the most important place in the exhaust stream.

Ships in large box, arrived on time. We needed to replace the rusted out tailpipe on our Dodge Ram 2500. We did need to cut 4" off of the end that fits into the Catilitic converter or else the bend didn't line up with the axle. We also cut a few vertical lines into that end so that we could taper it a bit with a hammer. Lubed it up with some dish soap and pounded it in with a block and hammer. Retighten the clamp on the CC. We installed some strapping on the exit end for support. Vroom vroom

This item was installed on my 2007.5 Cummins 6.7 Quad Cab Long Bed. Don't buy this if you do not have any fabrication experience. I had to cut off about 4" from the inlet side of the pipe to get the length right. You MUST carefully cut off the old hanger from your old tailpipe and weld it to the new pipe. I actually had to go a little further and cut the hanger apart so I could weld it in place with everything properly aligned. Shipping to my door was actually faster than what was called out when ordering.
