This is cheap junk. The original is probably twice as heavy and filled with glass fiber reinforcement. This is flimsy and little if any glass fiber. The slots for the moisture sensor are not remotely correct or even centered. I took a chance buying a cheap replacement and it didn’t turn out this time.

This product was as described and I was able to install it into my own dryer pretty easily. I am glad it fit and that I am now able to use my dryer once again.

Verifying that the part numbers for both the cover and filter of the dryer before ordering this product will help because parts might look the same but may not fit in the dryer.The cover that encloses and supports the lint screen in the exhaust air duct was cracked. The filter would pop-up and does not stay in place. Clothes would get caught and would twist into a knot. Delicate clothes started breaking into pieces. The cover and filter had to be replaced.This is the first time I ever installed the cover and filter in the dryer. A philips screw driver will be needed for installation and nothing else. Observing how the parts are aligned in the dryer while removing the old parts will help during the installation of new parts. The parts fit very well and cannot wait to use the dryer without worrying about breaking the clothes.This is a very good product and giving it high rating.

We have a Kenmore Elite dryer (model 796.81473210). After about 10 years of use, the lint filter broke. We ordered a new one based off the model number, but it didn't fit right and snagged lots of our clothes. So, we ordered this set, hoping that if we exchange not only the filter but also the housing, that it would work. When this set arrived, we tried to just replace the filter, but even though we completely cleaned the existing housing, it just wouldn't fit right. After taking the original housing out, my hubby was able to install this new one and luckily, that did fit. Inserting the filter then went without issue. We've been doing laundry now non-stop for 2 days to catch back up and we have had no snagged clothes. Hopefully, it will hold.

This Filter Screen Housing was easy to install and gave my dryer a longer life of good operation. My old filter had worn and started to tear and the housing was starting to break. This would have been a minute or less installation if I hadn't used the opportunity to clean out my dryer while the filter and housing were out of the way. I have noticed that my dryer is drying faster and we are seeing more debris on the filter than we have in a long time. One big plus for us was that the old filter did not seat fully into the old housing without forcing the right edge down. This filter and housing work perfectly and seals smoothly so it doesn't snag our clothes while they are drying. For the price, quality and extended life of my dryer this is a great value.

My lint trap wasn't sitting flush in the holder anymore. I tried some of the online remedies, but nothing was working. I replaced it with this one and it seems to be solid so far. The only reason I took down one star was that it was REALLY tight and you have to use force to pull the filter out to clean it. Not sure if that's an install issue, but I'll take a look later. I did run through one load of laundry and it did catch a bunch of lint, so I'd say it works fine otherwise.
