These get the job done. They're flexible so you can easily remove them after the mortar sets up. Mortar doesn't stick to them so you can reuse them over and over again. Once you buy these, you could save them and use them on your next tile job.

The plastic ones will fall out during install. These stay put until you are ready to pull them. They are also good for spacing between the countertop and first row of tile. Get 2 packs.

I was unable to find these at homedepot or lowes in 3/8". i needed 48 to tile a bathroom. the bag contained 46 pcs. they worked perfectly so 5-Stars are in order. just be aware you may not get exactly 50 pcs/bag.

I tried using these while tiling my kitchen floor and stopped after the third tile. They are terrible. They are too rubbery, so they bend too easily and don't offer any stability when laying tile--which is especially important when you are laying adhesive-backed vinyl tile like I was! It was a nightmare. I have done a lot of tiling in my life, and these are by far the worst guides I've ever used. Whoever thought making highly flexible grout guides like these was a good idea obviously has never tiled before. The picture also makes them look much more substantial than they are. The biggest shock to me was that the sizing was wholly inconsistent. Don't they use the same molds for all of these? Horrible product.

After reading some of the other reviews I was not sure about ordering these spacers. I am SO GLAD that I did! they are a soft rubber spacer but are not thin. I did not order enough and ran out before finishing my back porch tiled floor. I went to the hardware store and bought some more (at almost twice the cost!!) to finish up. The other ones were thinner (not the 1/8 inch but the width). When I would push on the tiles with the hardware bought spacers in them the spacers would turn sideways and let the tiles get too close together. I am so glad that I only had to use a few of the others. I bought 4 more bags of these to ensure I would not run short on our upcoming bathroom tile projects. I would recommend these spacers.

Working great for a few jobs that I am doing. They pop right in to set the tile spacing and pop right now. Blue makes them easier to see as well.
