These are cheaply made and are not even a solid piece. They do make shredding meat a little easier, but the back is open and meat gets stuck in it. I end up just using forks most of the time anyway because these are such a pain to clean. They are also very large and take up a lot of space in my utensil drawer.

A surprisingly simple shredder to use and I really do not think much can be said about an item like this as its design and purpose is obvious from looking at it. This product is sturdy and easy to clean. For the small price its going for, a good value if you need to shred meat. I personally use it for pulling my smoked Boston Butts when I cood them and the forks make it easy to lift the Butt from pan to pan or platter. Pulling is easy, just intertrine the tongs and pull them appart shredding you meat in the process. Love these and if you like pulling you pork butt......these will do the trick. The Fork tines seem a little more pointy and sharp than they need to be, but they can not hurt you and as far as longetivity, should last a long time.

These are great at doing what they were designed to do, but with the back being open/hollow I worry about bits of meat/debris getting wedged down into the crevasses of the points making cleaning difficult. They are dishwasher safe so my plan is to rinse thoroughly after using and hopefully the dishwasher will take care of the rest.Will update with any issues that develop.

I am someone who likes to cook regularly and I am building up a good collection of kitchen tools to use.Whenever I would shred chicken or pork, I would use two forks and it was kind of a mess. You would get uneven sized chunks and it was quite frustrating.I bought a chicken shredder device which works OK but it gets clogged up a lot, so when I came across these, I thought they would be perfect.I went ahead and placed an order for them and they arrived very quickly.And I absolutely love these!It is such a simple invention yet so awesome and very practical.It shreds the meat apart perfectly and really quickly.They are very strong and durable, and definitely made to last for a very long time.I’m so happy that I came across these and I know I will be getting a lot of use out of them.Also, the price point is so low for such a great item.So, if you’re someone who shreds meat Then look no further.Do yourself a favor in order this. You’ll be so glad you did!I hope my review helps you to make a more well informed decision.

These work as they should, but have one flaw. They aren't a solid piece, the back is open, causing meat to get packed into it as you use them.

Not the sharpest of these I have ever used but it works just fine to shred chicken breast. Durable enough - I've used them several times and put them through the dishwasher and they still shred chicken.

The Good:After the hour or two of resting, it is shocking of how hot the pork shoulder and butt. After the first couple times i learned to just have a designated pair of rubberish style of hot gloves.With these you don't have to worry about burnt fingers. they seem to work well. sometimes my hands still get a little close, but i quickly learned to reposition the claws.The Bad:I wish the back was fully plastic too, as it is a little uncomfortable on the fingers, but much better than burning the fingers.I am constantly trying to get away from using any plastics around food, as the plastic does get into the food.The ugly:Nothing ugly to mention.

I have previously used 2 forks when shredding pork or chicken and after getter these I'm never going back. These do a better job at shredding the meat, and it's done in half the time. My hands no longer hurt afterwards either. The claws have and ergonomic handle and cleanup is easy since they are dishwasher safe. Just keep an eye on the pointed claws to make sure they don't break off. I haven't had that happen but with any plastic kitchen equipment there's always that possibility.
