I make alot of jerky for myself, grandkids, friends, and customers and this made it faster and easier to get a batch sliced and in the dehydrator. Everything is cut even so it dries all at the same time

The Paladin meat tenderizer/jerky slicer is so easy to assemble and use. It cuts meat to the perfect thickness for jerky and is quite easy to disassemble to clean. I have not used it for tenderizing any meat so far, but I am really looking forward to it.

Great product, it could benefit from having a ramming piece to help the feeding process.

We received the Paladin meat tenderizer quickly and in good condition. This was just what we needed as we had four quarters of beef hanging in the shop! The unit came with all the pieces and the assembly was quick and easy. We were able to make 20 cube steaks in an hour. There were no issues with the performance. There's a learning curve of course. I imagine we'll be able to up our production level now that we have the hang of it. We have not used the cutting blade for beef jerky so I have no input on that process.

Finally got a chance to use the processor on 20 lbs of venison, mostly blackstrap meat. Assembly was fairly straightforward. First time out, took a little figuring with the instructions but next time it should be easier. Clamped nicely to my counter top but next time I use it, I may forgo the clamps at least initially. I say that because there was no perceived rock or sway when cranking the handle. The meat was cut 1/2" to 1"+ thickness had no problems pass through the tenderizer blades. Somewhere between 6 to 8 passes for each piece to make minute steaks. The jerky blades were used to shred meat for fajitas. Had a little clogging problem when overloading but reversing the crank direction cleared this in all but two times which was cleared using a wooden skewer. The shredded meat did have a slight tendency to clog the exit area.CLEAN UP IS THE MOST LABOR INTENSIVE PART OF THE OPERATION. You essentially have to completely disassemble the processor AND USE A BOTTLE BRUSH about 1/2" diameter to clean the tenderizer and jerky blades. A simple soak and rinse won’t clean them. Guess you could try a dishwasher but I’m a little dubious as to the complete cleaning of the blades. Also note that the manufacturer recommends "food grade silicone spray to prevent corrosion." I was going to store it assembled but considering it is broken down into parts to clean, I’ll just put it back in the styrofoam shipping box. My most negative comment is regarding the country of origin, China, but overall this seems to be a sturdy and durable processor that will last for years of HOME USE.

When it first arrived I noticed right away a few of the threads for the screws on the base were stripped but I bought it to process my deer steaks and jerky and was needing it right away so rather than deal with the hassle of a return I used lock tight and just basically glued the screw in place on the base. Then when using the tenderizer the gears wanted to keep shifting and not stay locked together so that gave constant trouble, then I switched to the jerky slicer and boy it cuts the strips really too thin, once dehydrated they shrink up to nearly nothing. After using one time with the tenderizer and once with the jerky slicer the screws that secure the attachments are already stripped out, the feed tube that holds the meat is also made of plastic and I don’t care for that I bought this because it said it was cast iron construction. Overall just really poor quality I wish I could return.

This is a great product. I bought this to replace a less expensive but inferior machine. I use this to tenderize eye of round roast. I use this for one of my signiture dises a flaming pepper steal. I run 3/4" slices through the macine twice at 90 degra angels. It works great and is easyto clean and is well built. In addition to this I use a papane meat tenderizer. I highly recommend this product!
