We picked these up to experiment with adding fiber optics to our 3D printing projects and they work perfectly for that use case.Good quality, transfer light well, and when you get the light source aligned correctly the whole stand lights up (including the tip, which is brighter).Great for hobby use.

Keeping in mind this is loose fiber only (you'll need to supply your own light source), this is very good material.It's easy to work with and can be cut with a hot knife or another sharp utensil such as a box cutter or Exacto knife. I think this material works best if you keep the overall length at 25ft or under, unless you're able to light the side glow fiber from both ends.Happy with the material and the purchase!
