I got this to help me study small animal anatomy, and as far as I can tell it is fairly accurate. The bones appear to have all the tubercles and processes; some detail is lost in the joints between smaller bones but the important details are still distinguishable. The only major thing I've noticed is that number of spinous processes on the thoracic vertebrae is off, but that's easy enough to work around. When I first got the skeleton, it had been broken during the shipping process, but customer service was awesome and sent me a new one.Cat included for size reference.

Seeing the prices of large models I thought this was going to be a small, like 8" wide model. I needed someting to help with my Vetrenary Assistant program (and eveuntally Vet technologist). I need visual aids and at $79 I could spare that... (Its the price of a video game)... What came in the mail was much bigger and very detailed. Everything was packaged very well, it was well put together and my mind was blown what I got. The entire model is just under 2' wide - wow.The head and tail is articulating (they can move around in a natural way), the neck of the model has a nylon fitting thats very sturdy that allows for normal neck movement and the jaw can open and is held in place with two springs.If your in school and needing a model to help with study - thsi is almost overkill. Ill donate this later on to a student or vet. I am more than hapy with this.The only assembly is putting the head on and the tail in (takes 1 min).
