Have been using this for a while for wet food. Only one of my cats use this. My fat cat will gobble her food then try to take my skinny cats food. So now they both finish at the same time and everyone is happy

The bowl is more shallow than my other slow feeder, but works well.

I bought this because my cat is a glutton and thinks her food will disappear if she doesn't at it all immediately without chewing, which inevitably results in me cleaning up puke. Since using this, she has rarely puked. It forces her to take her time. I'm happy to not have to clean up puke every time she eats. As a bonus, the design is pretty cute. She doesn't care, but I like it.

I bought this due to my two cats always trying to inhale their food. This has helped with longer time eating and no throwing up.

I really liked this bowl. In fact I bought a half dozen of them, and then I realized there was a problem. For some reason it didn't show up initially. There is no outside edge around the bowl. It is sloped downward to direct the food toward the center of the bowl, but my cat pushed the food up the slope & off of the side of the bowl. Big mess. I'm not sure why it didn't happen at first, but the problem didn't start until several weeks later.I really loved these bowls. They're cleverly made with protruding fishes that act to slow a cat's eating as they work to get the food from between them. This is one of the few bowls I saw formulated just for cats & there are many positives to the way it's made. The fish are a big deal at slowing the rate of eating. I also think that because the bowl is made of hard material, it was easier for my cat to eat, by using the hard surface of the fish to get a good grip on the piece of food she was trying to eat. She pushed the food up against the fish, where it was stopped by the hard surface, allowing her to then get it in her mouth. But that ended up being the reason for the problem too. She pushed the food around the bowl, and partially because the surface was hard & slippery, the food that didn't get wedged up against a fish, eventually got pushed right off of the bowl. I was sad when I had to pack up all of the bowls I'd bought & return them because I also thought they were pretty cute. But the long time went on, the worse the pushing of food from the bowl got to be, so they weren't helpful anymore. If the manufacturers would put a raised edge around the outside edge of the bowl, that would prevent food from getting pushed off of it. I liked these so much...until I didn't. In spite of my experience, I'd still recommend others give them a try. Your pet may not do what my cat did & they may be a perfect success story for you. To the manufacturers I'd recommend that you consider putting an edge around the bowl. Even if someone else's cat doesn't push the food off of the bowl, it would be a preventative measure so that it couldn't happen. If you did that, then I would love your bowl again.

I got three of these for my three kittens and they’ve been great. I use them to keep my speed eater kitten from stealing from the other two, and for enrichment to tire them out lol. It’s pretty easy to clean, a quick rinse usually does the job if you’re in a rush. My only real complaint can’t be helped, the kitten that is convinced she’s starving SLAMS her teeth and gums against the plastic- again, this can’t really be helped, but be warned.

The concept of spread out food does help to slow down a pet eating food. The designs and colors are super cute.
