This is a great value for the money. I had a lot of fun practicing the tracks and then doing them in front of my grandchildren. My grandchildren like most kids today have everything you can imagine but they have a lot of luxury items which not everyone can afford for their kids however, the magic tricks are an ongoing thing where they’re expensive toys get relegated to a shelf. These get pulled out frequently when I come overThere is one problem. My almost 5-year-old granddaughter makes me do the tricks over and over and I don’t want her to catch on. She’s pretty close the other problem is she wants me to make everything disappear. Sleight-of-hand is one thing but try making something too big to fit in your hands vanish. Is Melissa and Doug toys are wonderful. I highly recommend them I buy them whenever I need to get a gift.

I bought this for my granddaughter who is 5. She had no trouble learning the tricks and enjoying doing them for her parents. As usual Melissa and Doug have a great product. Only wish there were more tricks for her age.

It’s hard to find gifts that aren’t just a soft toy! I have purchased three of these magic sets and they make the perfect gift.Great quality and we always get compliments on how much they enjoyed it!

I grew up doing magic tricks (badly) with my dad and loved it. I got this for my 3 1/2 year old daughter, knowing she might be a *little* young. Cash Case is the big winner in my opinion; the "secret" could stand to be a little better constructed, but the design makes it easy for young kids to do, and she is SO excited to get to do the trick for her mom and her grandparents. (I have sworn her to the famous Klutz Magicians' Blood Oath. It is extremely cute to hear her say "A magician never reveals her secrets." I do wish the Klutz Book of Magic were still in print....)The other tricks vary. The scarf trick, in my opinion, is the one least doable by younger kids. The ball and vase are reasonably well-made for what they are. The magic coin is okay but kind of cheap-feeling even for this price point, but it's very doable even if my kid is slightly too young to really understand it.This is obviously a set for young children, don't go into this expecting professional quality or anything, but for a $20 spot, I'm pretty happy with it.

My daughter had a great time learning and performing these tricks. They're not to hard for kids to do, but still have an air of mystery about them. She loves performing them for anyone who visits.

I bought this for a six-year-old. He loves it! The parts are sturdy and easy to use. Doing magic shows for the family gives him confidence. His older brothers also do magic tricks. It is a fun activity and gets them away from video games.

My daughter loves doing magic tricks but the last magic trick box I got her was way too advanced and required downloading an app. I decided to try this one and it has been the perfect gift! It was easy for her to learn and lots of fun. She now shows off her new magic tricks!

Great, simple gift. Gave it to my 6yr old for Christmas. I’m sure it would be good for 5-8 year olds. We had fun going around showing people the tricks!

Not as easy to perform as the description says it is. After trying several times after being shown how to , he (age 7) gave up and ignored everything.

My 4.5 year really likes this set. He is not yet capable of slight of hand so these tricks are perfect for his age. Especially the ball in a cup and the money in a box. He can easily wow people with "magic". If I had to complain about something it would be the directions are a bit tough to understand. Bigger pictures (know your age group, my 4.5 year old can't read!) and better language would be nice.
