These work perfect over padded spandex riding shorts. I like the added protection against snags and tears and they look better than regular bike shorts. The shorts are well made with flat seams. They have hook and loop waist adjusters and handy belt loops. The size runs a little small. The manufacture is a great company I have purchased from for years. Great quality.

It's so hard to find mountain bike clothing that fits big guys. I love that these Aero Tech shorts came in a size (3x) that fit my 5'11", 295lb build. I particularly like that the crotch/inseam on these shorts fits appropriately snug. It seems like some other big/tall shorts tend to sag in the crotch area making it easy to catch the shorts on the seat of the bike as you get on and off the saddle. I also really love the swatch of material in the rear of the short that goes just a little higher up your back to ensure that your not inadvertantly putting your crack on display as you bend over your bike. The adjustable straps make it easy to dial in the perfect fit and rest assured that I'll be able to wear these even if my weight fluctuates a bit. The material is just the right amount of stretchy to ensure that the shorts don't feel like they are binding as you are peddling or getting on/off the bike. The zippered pockets are nice. While I don't tend to ride with things in my pockets, it is nice for before and after rides to be able to keep my keys and wallet on me without needing to change into a different pair of shorts.All in all, I really like these shorts and I'm not sure that I have any suggestions for improvement other than it would be nice if they included a pair of padded underwear at this price.
