Sufficiently long to wrap the neck and have tails that keep the scarf in place. Soft wool; not scratchy. Color is true to the picture. Low price for a quality scarf. I would order these for gifts.

This was a great feeling scarf, soft to the touch and warm around the neck. However, i thought i had discovered hair in my food... when I then realized it was fuzz shedding from the scarf. Just a heads up. ;)

Very comfortable, looks and feels like a high quality scarf. Well worth the money. Update: I ordered another one and the best I can say is that it's about 50% the quality of the first. It would be hard to convince me that these came from the same place. So, I guess it's hit or miss.
