I have been wearing two pairs of heavy long johns for weeks. Really works well, a little stiff and bulky. No feeling of cold. I just got my heavy weight wool long underwear pants. Wow, very nice, soft and warm. This morning it was 16 degrees and I wore my new wool heavy underwear and a light pair of blue jeans. Not the heavy first ones made. I could feel the cold on my legs, sort of. But my legs felt very comfortable. I will be sending for another pair, as back up.I get cold really easilty 150 lbs 5'8". Skinny little fat to keep me warm.I am also thinking they will be a good gift for next X mas.

Very warm and comfortable. Can wear for awhile without washing as well because of the merino wool.

OK, so these are VERY heavy merino wool thermals. I wear thermals all winter. Merino wool is the S***. But whew these monsters are heavy. 400g. merino wool is more like a sweater. A soft lovely sweater. I just love them, but only wear them if I am going to be outside in cold temps. If you want a really warm thermal base layer in COLD conditions, this is it. Far, far superior to cotton or synthetics. A soft lovely sweater on your butt :)

Love these. I really struggle with the cold. These have been a godsend. 400gsm merino is incredible. They don't smell like other synthetic fibres. I might have to get another pair.

These are well made, this is my second pair I got the first last year and they are still in great shape. I use these a as a base layer because I work out side all winter. Some thermals have crappy elastic that gets stretched out but not these. Wool doesn't need frequent washing. I work as an welder in heavy construction so I avoid synthetic fibers that can melt to your skin cotton and wool will burn but don't melt. When it gets really cold I add another layer but usually it's just these and a pair of work pants. On the top I use the mariwool shirt and a wool comando sweater under a leather welding coat sometimes adding a wool turtleneck. Any it's good stuff you can trust.

Holding it to the light I could see through the stitching. A little to light for me. I also took it for granted that I was getting some kind of set. top ended up one color bottom a different color. but like I said, I ass-u-me.Bottoms where OK just I did not get my set.

Arrived last week and already pulling apart in the groin area. Bought the top and bottom individually because it wasn’t an option to buy the 400’s as a set. Pretty disappointed at how quickly it fell apart given the price.

I have been wearing MERIWOOL for 4 winters now and can testify, there are none better at any price. I bought them originally thinking I would wear them outside on extra cold days, but I found them so comfortable that I wear them pretty much full time from fall to spring around the house. My wife laughs at me because I prefer them to pajamas or sweat pants.Under those conditions, they take about 2 years to wear thin enough to start looking ragged so I simply order 1 new pair every year and I rotate them. Each year throwing the oldest into the rag bag and rotate a new pair in.I have tried other brands hoping to save money, but they are either of much lighter fabric, itchy, or simply don't last. You get what you pay for and MERIWOOL 400g thermals are worth the price.
