I used both Dewalt and Milwaukee framing nailers. Even though they are very good, with slight differences, and work well I think the Metabo HPT is the best of the best. A great power tool. Yes, it's heavy but what's a ounce, or two, here are there. I don't think most people can tell a real difference.

I bought this gun used from Amazon, they were the seller. The gun came without a carrying bag which I complained about and they gave me a credit for so I will be buying a carrying bag for it. My biggest issue that it came with three 21° nails in it even though it's a third degree nailer. If you buy the gun it'll understand what I'm talking about it's very hard to see if there are any nails in the tool so I loaded my 30° nails into it shot it twice it worked terribly and I was thinking I was just going to return the whole thing. The next morning I looked at the two nails I had shot and noticed that they were full roundhead nails plastic collated type. I took the nails I had loaded into the gun back out and out fell two 21° plastic collated full round head nails. There's no way a 30° nailer is going to shoot these and so I loaded 30° nails back into it after making sure there were no more nails in it and it shot very well. The point is don't put the battery on and assume that there are no nails in a used tool sold by Amazon. Luckily I didn't shoot myself, The tool like most now also does not come with an owner's manual but it's downloadable. I have found the gun to be great and works very well just sending out the caution to be careful when you buy used from Amazon

I'm a Metabo HPT fan. Looked and felt great out of the box, however this cordless framing nailer couldn't power a nail through a 2x4. I'm guessing the cylinder is the problem. Maybe I just got a bad one - disappointed. Hope Metabo pay attention and figure it out.

My 20 year old passlode finally died. I decided to replace it with a battery operated gun. I have now used the metabo framing nailer to build my new chicken house and green house. It worked great. It drives the nails well. I can adjust how far the gun sinks the nails. I don’t have to drag around a hose or use gas cylinders. The gun does not misfire. Can’t say anything bad except it’s a little on the heavy side. Glad I bought this gun.

Compared it with 2 Milwaukee fuel framing nailers and a Dewalt (which is a dust collector and most framers know why). Metabo shoots nails farther lol. Seriously though, it nails just as good as the Milwaukee. The Metabo stopped shooting when the battery went down to 2 bars. I thought whats wrong with it. Nothing jammed. So we charged the battery and it was fine. Did the same thing again at 2 bars. Overall good nailer so far. No misfires or jams yet but if you frame quite a bit, then I suggest keeping at least 2 or 3 batteries minimum close by if all the batteries are like mine. Hopefully not. Maybe 200 nails per charge with mine. Shoots 8's good too. I was hesitant to buy one but for less than $250 on sale it's worth it. Should have bought 2 and a couple of extra batteries.

Have 2 of these now. Both work well lots of power to drive nails. Only minor complaint is that the gun is a little heavy if working overhead for long periods.

Professional Carpenter of 35 years.Just got it a few weeks ago but only used it lightly so far but results so far are impressive .Had a dewalt wind up flywheel framing nailer that never sunk nails( sad for$ 550 at the time)Anyway this thing is sweet so far, sinks everything perfect, no wind up, just amazing, sure hope it lasts a long time.I guess if there was anything to complain about it would be you really have to work it right to toe nail.

After 2 Dewalt cordless framing nailers failures, I had no other choice but to buy the enemy, Metabo. All my tools are DeWalt but their cordless framing nailer DCN692B is simply badly designed, heavy and nails constantly jamming. My 2nd one lasted 2 months only. So I bought this Metabo NR1890DC(S) and it performs extremely well, even at -15 Celsius, didn't jam once yet and it drives the 3 1/4" nails with a lot of power. It feels lighter than Dewalt and it's well balanced compared to Dewalt. I love that big rafter hook, you can hang it anywhere when you're installing trusses or roof plywood. So if you're a Dewalt man like me, I suggest that for cordless framing nailers, get a Metabo, you won't regret it!PS: if anyone is looking for parts for Dewalt DCN692B, I have 2 for sale, they don't work and no it's not the springs!

Worked brilliantly for four months while I was remodeling my house. Let it sit for a few months after I was done, but I picked it up again to do another project and the thing couldn’t bury a single nail into a piece of 2x4. Shot it multiple times into another 2x4 just to see what was going on, and it misfired every time. Nails flying all over the place, nails getting bent. Ridiculous. Do not waste your money, just buy an air-powered nailer, those almost never fail. Super disappointed.

This tool is great. Lots of power, fast, and sinks the nail perfectly. I run 3 1/4 inch hot dipped galvanized full ring shank nails through 10 x 10 treated post no problem, didn't miss a beat, or jam. Way faster than Dewalt, and so much smoother operating, no hesitation in either mode and the bump mode works great. Super easy thumb dial nail depth adjustment The only bad is the wide rafter hook, but that is a simple easy fix. Is a little heavy but like everything else you will get used to it, besides it's a small price to pay to not have to drag out the hose, compressor, set up, unwind through the wall studs, or up on the roof doing double plate, rafters, etc. This thing has power, I highly recommend it!!!

Bought this to replace my pneumatic dewalt framing nailer. It outclasses that POS big time. It is more powerful, very convenient, doesnt jam, much more silent than a compressor(even these silent makita ones). Battery life is very good and being metabo hpt, they're much cheaper than their big names counterparts. My only 2 gripes are the rafter hook being on the huge sideband the frickin thing is so powerfull that it took me 15 nails to adjusts it .. It kept sinking my 3 1/4inch nails half an inch into the wood...

And it should have front light. Working in a basement sometimes is light missing. In general i recommend it if you don't mind the heavy it is
