The 36V MultiVolt Brushless 1-1/8" SDS Plus Rotary Hammer with UVP model - DH3628DA offers corded performance with the convenience and versatility of a cordless tool. GO all day with less fatigue as its reduced weight design and added User Vibration Protection (UVP) makes drilling easier. Work more efficiently with the auto stop feature that allows for set times when drilling repetitively. Control the power with its two-speed setting functions. Work safely as the Reactive Force Control (RFC) stops the motor before the entire tool jerks if the tool bit is suddenly overburdened during operation. Use the LED level with a built in sensor that will detect the tilt of the tool and indicate when straight for precising drilling. This results in less time and money being spent adjusting skewed anchor bolts or re-drilling anchors. Work cleaner and safer with the optional dust extractor (#379135M). The DH3628DA 36V Brushless Cordless 1-1/8" SDS Plus Rotary Hammer is part of the expanding MultiVolt system of power tools from Metabo HPT. It accepts any MulitVolt battery for extreme power and runtime and can also accept the unique AC Adapter (ET36A) to plug in for all day runtime, offering ultimate versatility and power on the GO. Also available as tool body only model DH3628DAQ4.

This HTP platform is great. I always look forward to my next HTP purchase. As far as the previous reviews are concerned, I think that there is a bit of confusion within the entire public on the whole Hitachi/Metabo North America/Metabo-HTP thing.Metabo Works was an LLC originally based in SW Germany since 1932. In 2004 their production moved to Shanghai, China. In 2016 they were bough-out by Hitachi Koki (HK Holdings). So now they are Metabo North America. Those are NOT the METABO-HTP brand tools that are being reviewed here.Hitachi a Japanese multinational conglomerate founded in 1910 and headquartered in Tokyo. In 2017 KKR, a global investment/private equity firm, bought Hitachi power tools. They rebranded to HiKOKI and Metabo-HTP. So now HK Holdings is the parent company for Metabo North America and Metabo-HTP.We are now left with the remnants of two separate tool manufacturers, two distinct divisions and neither is manufactured in Germany or Japan. Metabo North America power tools are a dark green and black with red accents. Metabo-HTP power tools are light green and black with white accents or, in the case of their pneumatic tools, silver and black with light green accents. I believe that all their power tool are manufactured in China, regardless of either division.
