I’ve used many of the Hitachi brand hammers in the past and this one has the same quality in the new brand. Used it as a demo hammer for a home remodel, never let me down. For the money it can’t be beat.

I used this to help dog post holes for a fence and most of the land had granite or rock and this thing just tore through it! You have to buy multiple bits but it was well worth the expense! Great investment.

I needed a demo hammer to take up the tile floor in my kitchen and bathrooms. This hammer had plenty of power to get the job done. The handle is comfortable and easy to handle. For the price I would recommend this demo hammer.Update; this is a great demo hammer for the price. I used it to chip up the leftover thin set from removed tile in a 1600sqft home. I used it for 3-4 hours at a time for 3 days. It never skipped a beat. This demo Hammer is well worth the money. The SDS Max bits are quite a bit more expensive than the plus bits but I really don’t think the plus bits would have been able to do the job as well.

For larger jobs this has been an excellent hammer drill. So far I have used it to bust concrete off fence posts, to drill a 4" hole through our brick house to add a dryer vent and to remove tile from a concrete floor in the basement. Most hammer drills that take the larger SDS max bits are expensive, this drill costs about the same as the smaller drills that use SDS plus bits. At around 16 pounds it can feel heavy depending on how it needs to be held during operation, but that is an attribute. It helps to have a hefty tool to counter the kickback it produces, definitely requires both hands to operate.Be aware that SDS max bits are massive compared to SDS plus. They cost a lot more too, but for big jobs large tools are needed. If you plan to drill 3/8" or smaller holes in concrete, this tool isn't necessary. A smaller hammer drill will work better in those situations.

Bought this as a backup and to use while my old Hilt te50 is in for repairs. Drills 1/2" and 5/8" holes at pretty much the same speed as the Hilti. 15-20 seconds through 6" with a 4 tip bit.
