This is an ON-ON-ON switch,heavy duty,clear sounding.Solid selector switch

closed switch VS enclosed switch

Buy this format of switch. DO NOT go with the more compact non-enclosed switches unless you have no other option due to space. They corrode, and the circuit is too squished together. It leads to pickups not working or being quiter than normal sometimes when you switch (signal grounding out). That is killer in a live setting.

These switches, however, are enclosed and have more space in the circuit. Therefore, the leads do not corrode as quickly and have less likelihood of a shorting out to ground. They have a much more satisfying click as well.

Mind your soldering temp.

Easy to overheat and melt while soldering.

Switch looks and feels nice, but the plastic base melts fast so I suggest a good boy iron applied fast, and some cool down time between connections.

- be sure to have your surfaces prepped so you can solder quickly and allow a little time for the plastic to cool.

Works as expected. Thank you.

Was not the quality advertised. Soldering the small wires to the terminals resulted in switch coming apart.

Good quality switch. Just remember it doesn't wire the same as most standard switchcraft configurations. On most switches the side with a single prong is the output and the middle prong on the side with 3 is the ground. On this switch the single prong on one side is actually the ground. And similar to how many pots are designed the middle prong on the side with 3 is the output.

Well made switch that has feels great and has a very pronounced "click" into position.

I bought this as replacement for a defective toggle on a guitar that I don't play very often. It works fine and seems sturdy enough, clicks confidently into position... My only gripe with this toggle is the knob, which is comically large - especially for guitar as is the targeted application. On the guitar in this unit was installed, the toggle is located on the upper horn near the neck. Never had an issue with the original switch, but this replacement is noticeably in the way when strumming near the neck. If I played the guitar more often I'd probably replace the switch for this reason only. This particular JD.Moon toggle might look cool on a funky 60's-era Japanese guitar or similar, but on anything modern, classic, or minimalist it just screams "Wrong!" Seriously, it looks like something better suited for the Batmobile than it does a Les Paul.

I've never liked the standard open contact type switches you typically find in guitars being prone to failure. Cheaply made.... I'm very glad I came across this switch. It was very easy to install, fit perfectly in my Epiphone LesPaul. Feels very sturdy and has a very positive click into all 3 positions. Definitely worth the money and have 0 issues with it. Putting them in all my guitars now.

Pros: Sturdy, stylish, and affordableCons: plastic bottom casing melts easily, no wiring diagram (and not a common configuration), and needs one more washer to secure. My wiring (which works fine): for the row of 3 lugs: 1 (forward) = neck pup, 2 (middle) = output to volume pot, 3 (rear) = bridge pup. There's a single, lone lug opposite #2 facing the other side. That's your ground.Tips for installing: pre-tin all connections and be fast with your soldering. Don't try to ground everything on the grounding lug. Instead, just run a single lead from the lug to the ground on either the volume pot or output jack and ground everything else there. Otherwise, the plastic casing might melt from all the soldering. Lastly to secure, add a washer to the underside of your mount and use the gold/chrome washer and nut provided for the surface mount.

Looks nice with the screwable gold top. This is removable and you can swipe it for an ivory from your original switch that you’re replacing.

In my experience, they suck. These are so much better!

Arrived very quickly, ordered in the evening and arrived before 9, somehow! Feels like a nice quality bit of kit. Connections are decent and it works a treat.
