This item gave me peace of mind. Knowing that I didn't have to unleash my little guy in a big scary airport was such a relief. He is an 8 pound Yorkie the medium fit hime perfectly. The harness and leash are entirely metal free. His neck size 9inches, chest 15 inches and length 10". It's great for anyone traveling with pets!

Quality was ok, but I don't think this would last long-term. I purchased this as I thought I would need a harness and leash for my pup that didn't have metal hooks in order to go through security (it was my first time traveling via air with a pup). That turned out to be untrue. The TSA Fast Pass on the product is simply hype, and I fell for it. My pup didn't like this product as though I bought the proper size it was snug, and he growled at it, so I ended up donating it to a local animal shelter. Through the airport, we got along just fine with his regular collar, harness and leash we use daily. This was a waste of money for me, and I feel a bit silly about having purchased it, but I felt good about donating it to a shelter that would need it for short-term usage.

Writing from past security. The harness did the job; my cat is 7.8 pounds and the size small fits snug if I put it on as tight as the velcro allows. She never was able to squirm out of the harness and while she stayed in my arms as we walked through security together without me “needing” the leash and harness, it gave me fantastic peace of mind and let me focus on getting us through security calmly and quickly. Oh and the shipping was incredibly fast—according to tracking, package was physically handed to shipping company (not simply that a tracking number was generated) an hour after I placed my order.

I measured my cat and ordered the size appropriate for him. By the time I got to the airport, about 45 minutes, he had managed to get both paws free.Not a good harness at all.When putting it on I made sure it was tight!Do not waste your money on this item

Works great! I went through the SeaTac airport and LAX airport without any issues. Like other reviewers had mentioned. It's a little small. I just used the valcro and didn't use the clip. So buy one size bigger.

This is an excellent harness. It is well made and uses quality materials, and is much easier to get on my squirmy cat than a previous harness I tried. I love the velcro so you can get just the right fit around the chest. My only suggestion would be to use adjustable loops to hold the plastic clasp where you attach the leash so that the fit around the neck could be made more snug.

I have dachshund mix that I was flying with for the first time. (His, not mine). I found this and knee it would be helpful getting through the TEA screening. And, I have nothing but positive things to say about the item and especially the seller.First the item, because that's probably why you are reaching the reviews. It's a simple step-in harness, easy on & off. The velcro connector is sturdy and strong. The plastic D-rings attachments on the harness and the plastic clip are heavy duty, and even strong pulling at one point didn't weaken them, at least not noticeably. Two things to consider: the clip on the leash is strong and can be hard to detach if you've arthritic hands. The other is, size up. The Velcro connection adjusts but not the straps with clasp with the D-rings. I can't emphasize that part enough. But... if there is a problem, contact the seller..Yes, I'm reviewing the seller too. Because she was extremely responsive, and helpful. The first I ordered was way too small. The second almost fit. And she still worked with me, without any snark, and we exchanged it again for the next size up. Shipping 3 times, still got me set up by my trip, without added expense. So many times sellers make the buyer jump through hoops for exchanges or returns. This did not happen.Thank you for such quality service and an excellent product.

We use this for our cat (American Short Hair) when riding in the car. It works great even for "Houdini". She likes this best of the three we have tried. It give her the most freedom while still provide us some as much control as one can suggest that they have over any any cat.Do pay close attention to the sizing provided. I didn't and bought the Small (she's a little cat). I needed the Medium.She was able to get out of it only once and that was because we were in a hurry and the sides were way too loose. We found that with Houdini we needed to make sure the sides were snug (no slack) without being tight. No escapes since. In the car I think it actually provides a little extra comfort--much like the Storm Jackets used on some dogs.
