If you have any doubt, about this product don't. I was concerned that it wouldn't work. I treated for brown algae, still had stains. Read the product information and thought why not give it a try. Followed the directions in the kit. Let it set overnight per the directions and this morn the stains are gone!!! # simple steps and my pool looks like it did 4 years ago. Stains gone just like the name CU Lator.

I’ve used other metal out products with what I thought was good results. Then I used this product. All I can say is WOW! I could see some results instantly. After a day the pool looks amazing. I was considering replacing the liner, but not anymore after using this product. Good stuff!

I'm one of those people that doesn't write reviews, but I was literally shocked at how fast this product worked.Unfortunately, I feel that I was duped by the brick-and-mortar store that ships the product for Amazon. I visited the store to get advice on how to treat my metal stains and the salesperson did a "water test" and proceeded to try to sell me almost $400 worth of products. I take care of my pool but am in, no way, an expert so I bought about $150 worth of product and walked out with a 10 step treatment process. It didn't work. I then searched Amazon for a solution and found this product. When it arrived, I was surprised to see that it shipped from the same store that I had just visited. I will call them today to ask why this was not recommended. I put the first two packets in my pool and went back to the instructions and when I turned back to the pool, this had to be no more than 10 minutes, the stains were disappearing! Couldn't believe it. It's been two days and the stains continue to disappear, as promised in the instructions. Highly recommend this product!

I was hoping this would be a cost effective stain removal product I could add to my routes. No such luck.

[posted by my wife] Last summer, I had to drain our 12-yr-old gunite pool so that the plaster could be sanded smooth of all the collected mineral staining plus tannins and sap from leaves. Then we filled it up with our filtered well water, and I was distressed to start seeing the plaster get stains again and the water continue to be an emerald-tinted color. I tried metal removers from the local pool supplies store, and saw no improvement. I ensured the water had zero algae. I even started to tell myself that green was OK. Then I got this kit and I could literally see the water changing color and the pool sides whitening up as I brushed the two acids about for an hour, and the next morning it was beautiful! So I know the stain removers work very well on one-season's worth of well-water-staining. Now it just remains to be seen how well the Culator Stain Preventer part of the kit does through the rest of this season in removing the sequestered minerals from the water completely, and I'll update the review then. But so far, this has exceeded my expectations and given me a lovely swim today!
