250K VS 500K
Generally, 500K-ohm pots are used with humbuckers and 250Ks are used with single-coil pickups. You can use any value you like, but a 250K will give a slightly warmer tone than a 500K pot. The 250K pot bleeds off some of the high frequencies to ground. A 1 Meg-ohm pot bleeds off even less than a 500K pot, so if you want to hear your guitar "wide open" you may want to try one.

I installed a MM Sting Ray P/Up in my 5 string Jazz Bass in the bridge position, wired in series to the stock pot. Works good. BUT,... this added the option of running the 2 halves in Parallel or Series at the push/pull of the pot, and it's a much poppier, Jaco like tone in Parallel. This thing is a MONSTER now. So many tones. I already have a JB5 with the Neck P/Up replaced with a P-Bass set. They end up 1/2" closer to the neck than on a P. Phatter, just a bit. And when combined with the bridge J... It's awesome,.. like a Sadowsky. I'm gonna get another 5 string JB and replace the Neck with a P-Bass and the Bridge with a MM Stingray. Gonna be wicked!!!

I just wasn't really impressed with these. They work, but don't get in a position where you have to rework one. All the solder lugs are really cheap and break really easily. The shaft is some weird metric dimension. Not typical of other pots with metric dimensions. Only the nut that came with it would fit on it. It's an okay pot if you want to do a new installation and are drilling the holes and you don't lose the mounting nut LOL. We'll probably stick with Buorns or CTS at this point. The quality difference is night and day

I originally ordered two for a guitar build, putting the pickups in series/parallel. One worked great, the other was dead on arrival. I didn't use the pots right away, so I didn't know there was anything wrong with it until after the return period expired. I ordered another one because the first one worked great. That one worked fine.

Put this in a diy guitar amp. The pot section is the bass control, the dpdt switch turns mods on and off. Taper on pot for bass control is great. Switch is smooth and quiet.

A little pricey for 1 push pull pot, for about 2 bucks more you could get a 3 pack of push/pulls from other sellers but this one had 1 day delivery so I went for it. Works great, perfect for guitars that has alpha pots AKA thinner pot shafts. It worked great in my Ibanez RG. Works smoothly.

Long story short, for my purposes the push/pull pot worked great. I used it to coil split a Seymour Duncan Jazz neck pickup. The sweep is pretty smooth and there are no audible artifacts. I plan to buy more to have some on standby for other builds and mods.
