About this item

  • Included components: Dash Kit, Hardware, Manual
  • Quick Release, Snap-In Iso Mount System
  • 2007 - 2008 Honda Fit Single Or Double Din Installation Kit
  • Recessed Din Opening

This stereo installation kit has been engineered to help you install either a 2” tall (Single-DIN) or a 4” tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radio into the original vehicle dashboard. This dash kit makes radio replacement simple and comes with a pocket that is installed below the 2” radio to fill the extra space in the radio opening, which can be used for storage. The pocket is not needed when installing a 4” tall radio. The dash kit is painted matte graphite gray to match the original look and feel of the vehicle’s dashboard. Installing an aftermarket radio can upgrade the sound quality and provide additional features the original factory radio couldn’t offer but requires this dash kit to make it fit.

Everything was as advertised, everything worked as expected. There is a small fitmit issue, as the dash kit doesn't sit flush with the dash entirely on the driver's side. Every clip is installed as it should be and I believe it to be an issue with the stock radio being bolted in with two 8mm bolts, and this kit omits those entirely. Won't blame the seller or the manufacturer too much, as this is a minor issue that I can deal with. Just be aware if you are going to care about it sitting absolutely flush. Very easy to install, once you know your way around the fit. The color is spot on and matched the dash perfectly. Would buy again.

Good fit for a ‘08 Honda Fit. I utilized both the Metra and original metal bracket for the install. Didn’t experience sagging or issues with knob limiter like other users.

Truly made to fit the Fit. While there was a lot of discovery involved in this process, the kit worked perfectly. Keep in mind you have to transfer several comply from the original dash, such as mounting clips, and AC/heat controls. Also, it seems they fixed the issues with the AC control stops being molder backwards. My kit’s stops were correctly oriented. Make sure you use the plates that clip on and screw your new stereo into that and you’ll be fine. Watch some YouTube videos for removal tips. But your radio will have some differences.

I haven't installed the piece yet as I'm still waiting for my stereo, but I was reading some reviews saying the hole for the temperature control knobs had a stopper that was on the top instead of the bottom preventing the temperature controls from turning the right way, posted in 2020 I saw a couple, metra must have gotten the memo because mine was fixed, the stopper was on the bottom!! It still seems like low quality plastic but I'm not complaining for the price honestly, I just wanted bluetooth in my car for cheaper then getting it installed by a shop and this allows me to do that with some DIY work and just genuine tradesmanship. Anybody that is mechanically inclined can figure this out, most of the comments that were bad seemed like kids complaining that it wasnt spoon fed to them ready to go... yes sometimes you have to make stuff work yourself... that's all part of the adventure. Hope this helps and doesn't prevent you from getting this instead of the other one, there are some differences but I personally think the Metra is a little better overall if you want option of single din or double din/add a pocket for phone/wallet. If you just want a straight easy to install double din dash kit then yeah go with the other one but the metra is just fine for the average car guy/shitbox owner just trying to upgrade the stereo in the beater lol. Save the bit of money from the plastic and spend it on the stereo itself. Best of luck installing.

This is the ONLY adapter that will work for a first gen (2007) Honda Fit. Nobody else makes one. That's why they charge what they do, instead of the $14 kits for practically any other car. That being said, it worked well and I was able to install the radio with no issues on the adapter side. (It was my first time installing a car radio, so it took me about 8 hours to get it completely done between the googling and the running out for additional parts like bolts and cable adapters.) The color of the plastic isn't an exact match to the dash, but it's close enough that you really don't notice a difference.Important: THIS DOES NOT COME WITH THE CLIPS YOU NEED TO FIT IT BACK INTO THE DASH. You'll need to take the metal clips off the original radio frame and put them onto this new one. You won't need to worry about that one different flat clip on the lower right side, as the new frame doesn't have a place for it. But this adapter kit will not stay in place if you do not have the metal clips.

Harness works. I installed a double din deck. Only downfall I had was with the bezel installed the deck wouldn't open up to insert the CD. Had to remove the bezel to work but it just doesn't look as good.

The 07 honda fit radio install kit left a little to be desired. For one, the temperature gage sticker had an extra white flakiness to it. I used my fingernail to get it off mostly but the area doesn't have the true color. That, however, is nothing compared to how it doesn't sit nice and tight against the rest of the dash once installed. there is a clear space between the rest of the dash and the install kit that leaves the setup looking shabby. I can literally push on the dash kit and it butts against the rest of the dash nicely, but once pressure is taken off it goes right back to leaving a space. It's not horrible, I mean there aren't many kits out their for the Fit but i wish it was a little tighter. Also the single din plastic frame is very flimsy in the middle. I installed a kenwood and the bottom of the frame bows upward a small bit like a rainbow. Its bearable, but again, it isn't tight. If you are very particular about tightness and a clean install I would suggest trying a different brand. It does the job 85% effectively, just not as aesthetically pleasing as I had hoped for.
