I ordered five mallets and only received four along with the bag of red glass fishbowl beads.I am not sure where the fifth mallet ended up. I should have received a refund for the missing mallet.

It dampens the hit and vibration very well. It's kind of weird that people invested in such a hammer, but it works well. Also, I wish it wasn't so expensive.

This mallet is my preferred mallet for timber framing chisels. Since I started using one about 30 years ago, I haven't had to replace a chisel handle or ferrule. I have noticed that the wood handles are thinner and less comfortable where you grip it than the older ones.
