Your cart is empty.The 8309 Conformal Coating Stripper is available in both liquid and pen format. It removes most rework able conformal coatings and readily removes thermoplastic (non-cross linked) acrylics, urethanes, and silicones based conformal coatings. It also facilitates the removal of some thermoset coatings like cross-linked silicones and polyurethanes by softening or swelling the coat to aid with mechanical removal.This stripper is safe for most types of PCB components. It is fully biodegradable and environmentally safe.Applications & UsagesThe primary applications of the 8309 are for PCB maintenance and repairs. It also works well for removing conductive ink lacquers. The low viscosity allows PCBs to be easily submersed in the stripper solution.

1 star for on time delivery. Just like their bottle of conformal coating stripper their pen failed me just as miserably. Followed all instructions as with the bottle and produced only waisted time and through put. The pen is probably even worse than the bottle. The pen didn't even remove the glossy sheen from the coating. You might as well carefully scrape your green coating with a sharply pointed exacto knife. I have found all MG Chemical products over priced and under performing. Not a very good business plan. Maybe they just need to overhaul their entire Quality Control department. You've been warned and I hope this helped.

Only acetone, very low viscosity so runs right off of the board - a thicker formulation might be more effective.NON-RETURNABLE

Acetone. That's all it is. We tried it on our urethane coating and it did absolutely nothing. If I knew it was just acetone I would have gotten a whole bottle of nail polish remover and really went at it.

I'm marginally skilled at best when it comes to soldering. This applicator pen helps me overcome my own limitations and do it right the first try.
