If you have an HyperX QuadCast S microphone I recommend not buying this arm as the Mount Adapter that is included in this product is smaller and wont fit to the actual HyperX Quadcast S. I would recommend buying a Mount Adapter if you'd like to buy this product but if not just buy a whole different product from a different company that might offer/give the perfect fit for your microphone.

did not come with cord clips, conversion screw, or allen wrench. cord management is really important to me so the fact that it didn't come with the cord clips put me off more than anything. i have a mic that requires that conversion screw so i can't even use it for it's entire purpose. luckily have many allen wrenches from previous purchases of other items so i guess that's a win?

Adjusting and tightening it is pretty easy. The flexibility of it is great and it feels pretty strudy. Although while turning it 360 it makes a bit of a loud noise that picks up on my mic. It really doesn't bother me too much but if anyone is looking for something that turns quieter this isn't the best option. Other than that, it's a perfectly good working arm.

I purchased several arms before this one, and they were not sturdy and would not hold the SM7B Shure mic, However this one is awesome, works perfect, and is easy to move around. 5 stars

I like this product but don’t love it, my only problem is it slides off my desk but it’s most likely because my desk has a shorter end to it!! The protectors are great but they slide off and unstick very easily, it’s a bit hard to move, the sturdiness is great for holding my mic!! The setup was a bit confusing though.

This is a great unit.I have an old condenser mic, which has got to weigh over 2 lbs. I've purchased some cheap mic booms before, and they were terrible. This unit has plenty of power and holds the mic just fine. And because of it's strength, it does take some effort to move, which is fine. My only suggestion to make it better, would be to reinforce where the arm meets the desk clamp. It's plenty strong, it has some play, and would benefit from a tighter bushing.

When I first opened it, I thought it was going to be way to small and/or too weak. But after using it a few times as an overhead camera boom arm, I am in love with it. Its obviously not rock solid, but it stays where its supposed to, and is steady enough to film with. It also ended up having a lot more reach than I was expecting. I can get an overhead "hand cam" shot without needing a tripod, which is excellent. The mount is great, padding on both sides so there are no worries about damaging whatever I mount it to. It also has a nice stepped, magnetic, system where the arm mounts to the base, so it doesn't swivel freely like most boom arms do because it magnetically locks it in place without sacrificing the ability to have full 360 rotation. I absolutely adore the springless design, its super quiet when you move it, and the joints actually do lock in place quite well. Its a little annoying having to use the hex key to tighten it, but it will stay in place ifyou need to adjust it without you needing to tighten it again. I haven't needed to use it yet, but I do like that they included a cable management system, its a bunch of clips that just slot into the gap between the bars, nothing fancy, but they work. I also like that they included a magnet to keep the hex key attached so I don't need to find it every time I want to tighten the joints. My only complaint is there is no 1/4" mount adapter, luckily I have my own, but I would have preferred that over the 5/8" adapter, although it is nice to have the 5/8" adapter.Overall I am really happy with it, definitely a good choice for a budget springless boom arm.

CACENCAN Boom Arm, 360° Rotatable Microphone Stand with Desk Mount, Foldable Desk Mic Arm with 3/8'' to 5/8'' Screw Adapter, Microphone Arm for Live Streaming, Gaming, Podcasting, Radio(Space Black)This mic arm deskmount kit is a budget item. It has a reasonably stable desk mount clamp -- although NEEWER brand has a much larger, sturdier clamp than this at the same price. The arm rotates 360deg on the base and the joint allows a decent level of articulation to adjust to your position. The nice part of this is that there are no springs to support the arm and thus it is fairly quiet in operation (no bouncy spring metal sounds). On the other hand, you do need a hex key to tighten the tension to your liking. The kit comes with 3/8'' to 5/8'' adapter so it can fit different condenser mics and mounts. If you are using this for a smaller mic, the arm should be just fine to support the weight. Things like Rode podmics or Shure MV7X and any of those USB mics should be OK however if youre using something a lot more substantial like a Shure SM7b you may want to look for a better stand.I recommend this mic arm kit for more budget or hobby/gamer setups with lighter mics. But if youre starting to get into mics that have some weight, costlier ones like 500$ ++ mics, youre not looking at budget arms anyway.

I think this microphone arm is OK. It’s definitely one that you should keep stationary, basically all the time unless you want to be unscrewing and screwing in a screw all the time. Honestly, tightening and untightening the screws isn’t bad, it’s just really time consuming. In the box you get the arm, 6 arm wire clips (they fit any wire that is under 5.3mm), 1 clamp wire clip, an additional O-ring, allen key, magnet (to keep the allen key attached to the base), the clamp, and 3/8 to 5/8 adapter. The arm itself is two parallel bars, so anything that mounts to a standard scissor arm will mount to this just fine (like a pop filter or an isolation shield) will also mount to this. One thing I like about this is that it doesn’t make any noise when you’re moving the arm. It’s silent, and doesn’t squeak. While this may be because it’s new, there’s no springs that will echo when you’re moving it around. I think the downside is though that eventually if there is metal to metal contact you will get squeaking, but I think you can oil that out if it does happen. The downside is that it’s a friction fit. So most of the screws have to be really tight to keep your microphone where you want it. Sometimes so tight that you won’t be able to move it after you set its position. If it’s too loose, you’ll definitely know, as your microphone will start slowly descending down.Another thing about this microphone arm is that it has set angles that you can put it in. There's little notches and grooves that the arm likes to be in (in both the hinges where the arm extends outwards, and in the base). There are lots of different angles it can be in, but if it doesn't line up exactly for you, it may not be the best experience when you're using it.Because I move my microphone around a lot, this design definitely isn’t for me. I’m constantly having to fight with it to keep my microphone in place, because the screw is either too loose and doesn’t keep my microphone up, or too tight, and I can’t move my microphone where I want it. That said though, I will take it for the complete silence that it does have when I am moving the microphone. Now, about the price. I think this is a fine half step into the far more expensive microphone arms, if you have a super cheap stand. I say half step because I don’t think this stands up to the far more expensive microphone stands from companies like Rode but does do well compared to the far cheaper alternatives. So if you’re looking for a microphone stand that you’re going to keep in one particular spot (like if it's going to just stay in one place forever, in one particular angle), I think this is a fine choice. The stand does look nice when it’s all installed, and the wire is in the center of the arm, but if you don’t particularly like this look, I’m sure there’s good alternatives around.
