The ML SPLITTER SteelPro is our toughest table saw splitter yet. Virtually eliminate kickback and prevent wood burning on your table saw. Consider a core made of stainless steel and then coated with smooth high density ABS plastic--that is the SteelPro. MJ SPLITTER SteelPro is designed for 1/8" Kerf saw blades range: (0.118" – 0.145"). Each package comes with 4 SteelPro Splitters, 4 Kerf Keepers, installation guide, drill guide, and drill bit for easy installation. The Dual Splitter approach will utilize our mini-feather board effect to off-set both sides of the work piece, keeper piece and off-cut piece. Each SteelPro Splitter is fine-tuned to several thousands of an inch to keep pressure off the keeper piece against the fence. Once installed, you'll be able to plug and play with the SteelPro because each Splitter comes with a different offset marked on each with a "+." And each "+" represents 0.003'' up to "+++" which is 0.009''. We have also included our Kerf Keepers which are designed to prevent binding from warping reactive solid wood. Always use the correct MJ SPLITTER SteelPro in correspondence to your kerf range. Only for 90 degree cuts. Made in the USA. Made by MICROJIG. Watch the Action Video and Add to Your Cart Today! bought the thin kerf for Grizzly 1022 table saw that didn't have a method for using a riving knife. made several zero clearance inserts wit two setup, one with kerf keepers and one for standard splitter. have been making a wine rack for 15 cases and need 276 3/4 x 1 supports and these have been big help. have had several boards with stress in them that pinched on the splitters and stopped the boards from pinching on the blade allowing me to stop the saw and correct the issue before kick back could have occurred.

I have an older, large, contractor's saw with no knife. I always wanted to add this means of safety and finally did and this is a real gem. I immediately felt a much better sense of safety as I started using this. I recommend it ! Don't wait until something happens. This minor investment and YOU are worth it !

I gave this four stars because I’m glad somebody made this product, but the instructions that accompany it are unnecessarily complicated, and it’s easy to mess-up the installation. Obviously, the company tried to write lucid instructions, but may have over-thought the process and missed the mark. The whole purpose of the jig and instructions is to position four 3/16” holes in a zero clearance throat plate to accept a splitter and kerf keepers. You actually have to make or buy two zero clearance throat plates if you want the dual functionality of a double-splitter and a splitter and kerf keeper. It’s possible to accomplish both setups on one throat plate if your table saw allows the throat plate to be reversed (many do).The installation requires that your fence be absolutely parallel to the blade at the time of installation, not relieved by several thousands on the out-feed side to prevent the back side of the blade from marring the workpiece. The instructions require finger “pressure” in one direction (against the fence) to install the first two holes, and pressure the opposite direction (cut-off side) for the second two holes. The amount of “pressure” is undefined, and if you get it wrong and the splitter holes are drilled even a few thousands too much toward the fence, the workpiece will bind between the splitter and the fence after the cut.The manufacturer gives you alternate inserts to bring more pressure (like a “feather board”) on the workpiece towards the fence, but nothing away from the fence to prevent binding, if you drill the holes too close on the fence side. A few thousands of an inch counts, so you need to be on top of your game when you read the instructions and drill the holes.Happily, there is epoxy, so if you mis-drill the holes the first time, you can refill them with epoxy and try again, wiser the second time around. I had to do this and it worked fine. Simpler instructions would have helped the first time around. This jig is very pricey for what you get. You could achieve a similar result for a few cents by gluing a 1/8” piece of Masonite into the kerf behind the blade, as a splitter, but you couldn’t remove it quickly when not needed (like cuts that don’t go all the way through the wood). This product allows you to pull the splitters out without changing the throat plate in such situations, so the convenience of that perhaps justifies paying the price. Grumble, grumble . . .My message is: Be careful when installing the jig.

It’s expensive (as most MicroJig products are), but works as specified. The drill bit that comes with the product is slightly undersized and fits the legs on the inserts better than a nominal bit of the stated size. Also, be certain to ensure the drill guide is firmly seated against the end edge of the setup board to ensure accurate hole alignment.

Since my saw does not have a riving knife, I use this for safety. I am very happy with how it works!

Installed on a Powermatic 66 tablesaw every cut is cleaner and the saw is safer. My shop mate and I both wish we would have made this upgrade sooner. If your saw doesnt have a riving knife of splitter, just order it.

This is why I look for China to bring out a product so at least you will get value for money, not get ripped off, unfortunate.

I was looking for a replacement splitter for my Jet 10" tablesaw. The factory one protruded from the rear, preventing me from positioning my outfeed table. I was browsing some woodworker sites and stumbled across the MK splitters. For the price, I figured what do I have to lose? I followed the directions and set this up in about 1/2 an hour. The result is great! I am now a convert! I plan to buy some of their other goodies now too. Definitely worth the price. Just have some 1/2" MDF scrap handy (2 pieces of 4" x 15" are required). Once you have the jig and test piece set up, you can redo as many ZCIs as you care to make! So simple!

If you don't already have MicroJig's , you should. It's the first step in truly safe, reliable ripping on a table saw. That's the belt.As good a job as the GRR-RIPPER does, there are times when you can't use it or some other factor makes a cut susceptible to kick-back. That's where the suspenders come in to play. The MJ Splitter keeps the kerf open so that neither the keeper nor the offcut can touch the blade on the back side. In addition, it acts as a variable pressure feather board to keep the work firmly pressed against the rip fence.Installation is straight forward. The instructions look a little intimidating at first, but I recommend you read them all the way through, twice. Then just take it step-by-step and you're done. I thought I was going to have a problem with drilling my older Leecraft phenolic ZCI. Another reviewer recommended drilling only enough to mark the locations and then complete the drilling at the drill press. I checked with MicroJig's excellent customer support and they agreed that this was a good idea. Turns out I didn't need it. The drilling was painless and relatively fast.Because you get to select how much pressure each side of the splitter puts on the keeper and the offcut, I chose the single + for an additional .003" offset on each side. That gave me a little more leeway without bogging down the work.I have to say that since I started using the GRR-RIPPER and this MJ Splitter, I have a much happier relationship with my table saw. While still recognizing that it demands respect, I feel so much more comfortable and safer. I make clean rips without binding or burning. And I haven't cut myself at all. This is a great investment and I couldn't recommend it more highly. Really, get a GRR-Ripper and MJ Splitter and see what a difference it makes. You won't be sorry.
