The formulation is ready out of the bottle for your airbrush. However, you may want additional thinning depending on your preferences. Bottle says "use without thinning".....no way. Plugged my airbrush even after thinning. By the time I could get it to spray out of my airbrush it was practically translucent.

So far, all of the stuff we've gotten from Micro-Mark has been awesome, and this is no acception.The primer lays down smooth and easy, with no issues being sprayed. Couplees with their flow improver, there is no issue of dry tip or clogging.Have primed a bunch of stuff already, and have barely put a dent in the bottle.

Everything Micro-Mark makes is fantastic and geared for us in the hobby. Their primer is no exception. Works great and it's easy to airbrush. I highly recommend it.

This primer is great for painting minis for board games. This is a lot more environmentally friendly than aerosol cans.

This is a great product. I used it in my little cheapie airbrush to put a coat of black primer on a 3D printed model prior to doing some accents and dry brushing. This coated well with a nice matte finish.It was a bit thick and fast drying for my little airbrush, but a touch of thinner would solve this easily.I love that the bottles have a twist up squeeze dispenser lid so you can avoid any mess on the bottle from trying to pour it. Micro-mark continues to design products with miniaturists in find and I love it. This bottle is large enough that I will likely never use the whole thing with just my little dollhouse miniatures. Great value and great product.

This is good primer. Applies even and thin. Coverage is good. Durability is good. I'm using it on resin printed miniatures.

I really like this primer for airbrushing: it requires very little dilution, goes on smooth and dries to super clean, extremely matte finish.I am attaching to pictures to this review to demonstrate the extreme matte finish.On the left is an Awaken Realms figures primed in Micro Mark black acrylic airbrush primer. On the right is a GW fire primed with Stynylrez water based acrylic black primer.Both are diluted with Golden airbrush medium.The Stynylrez--whose own label says it "dries to a hard flat finish--is a great matte black primer. Holding it up next to the Micro Mark, however, it looks almost glossy by comparison.As you would expect from a finish as matte as this, you absolutely cannot touch a figure that has been primed with it: literally everything scuffs it.But if you are in the market for the most matte primer out there (none more matte haha), then I gotta think this is it: this one is the category winner, head and shoulders.

The primer never did dry properly and was full of chunky material.
