Micro-Mark’s Acrylic Primer is designed as an all-round primer to improve the next paint coat adhesion, increase the durability of the paint, and provide additional protection for your project.
Our Micro-Mark Primer works with Micro-Mark’s line of acrylic paints and with most other brands of acrylic paint. The 8-ounce bottles include an easy emitter for precision application. For the best coverage we recommend using our vortex mixer.

This Micro-Mark Brush-on Primer, 8oz (Grey) I had to dilute to run through my air brush gun. Yes, I understand it is a brush on but you will probably have to still dilute it, it is pretty thick and chunky. I use mesh on my paints to remove chunks when pours paints for air brush. It is a nice color for primer but not the easiest to use.

I love that I don't have to feel guilty about using this! It is so much less wasteful and doesn't release toxic fumes into the atmosphere like many other options.

This is a great product. I used the black color version of it in my little cheapie airbrush to put a coat on a 3D printed model prior to doing some accents and dry brushing. This coated well with a nice matte finish.It was a bit thick and fast drying for my little airbrush, but a touch of thinner would solve this easily.I love that the bottles have a twist up squeeze dispenser lid so you can avoid any mess on the bottle from trying to pour it. Micro-mark continues to design products with miniaturists in find and I love it. This bottle is large enough that I will likely never use the whole thing with just my little dollhouse miniatures. Great value and great product.

The grey is more of a warm-tone grey rather than a cool-tone grey. It took two pass throughs to get a good coverage on my models. Ultimately, the primer held my paints on, so that is all that matters.

I've tried this on wood and plastic with a couple of different kinds of acrylic paints. Even when it is dry, the grey shows through the coats of paint and mixes with the color you want to cover it with and makes it chalky. I wanted this to cut down on the number of coats of paint I would have to use on these surfaces and I've ended up having to do the same amount of coats to cover the grey primer which defeats the purpose.
