The tool arrived with no literature, no instructions. A small wrench was included with the tool, but the reason for it was a mystery. The tool was not set to zero, so it has to be calibrated, I learned from doing some research. The small wrench is for unlocking the tool and calibrating it to zero. The wrench was made of metal so soft that it bent and ripped the tip off, making it useless. That in turn made the caliper useless. Would not recommend this tool. I've tossed it in the metal recycling bin.

You get what you pay for. Item was out of calibration from the factory. I attempted an adjustment but the supplied spanner broke during my try at calibration. I had to resort to an existing spanner in my tool collection to complete calibration. Both measuring tips are very rough to the touch and have rust on them. I compared two known good micrometers to this one for accuracy and found a .04mm discrepancy with my purchase. Not happy.

I didn't expect much for the price but the shaft is not even ground flat, it's literally hot-rolled steel rough finish, and visibly not square. Completely unfit for purpose. Also the thread is quite course and it's 1/2mm per revolution.

Works well for me. The main thing I'm measuring is .25mm first layer on 3d prints.

I was surprised at the fit ,finish, and accuracy after I cleaned it up with WD-40. I adjusted it with the provided wrench, and it seems to be very close in measurements. However, only four stars because the locking lever is plastic and loose, but what do you expect for a micrometer for under $20.
