this shock mount is a poor attempt at a Rycote shock mount. As other reviewers noted it's flimsy plastic and there is no real strength in the thin, pot metal tensioners that hold the mic. One of the small washers that stabilize the contact point broke while I was using this shock mount for the first time. Ultimately, don't look for a cheap knock off to hold your expensive mic like I did, just go get a Rycote.

This shock mount fits a Monoprice 600800 large diaphragm condenser. It is slightly wider than most 'universal' shock mounts.Not sure if it's a true shock mount, since everything is connected by rigid plastic, but it seems to reduce vibrations from my desk.I'm using it mostly for calls and less for actual recording, but it works well for my needs. Seems to be sturdy and fairly well built. I took the built-in pop filter off, because I already had one that is better quality.

There are other shock mounts like this for more than 2x the price and I can’t tell much difference between those and this. I have some old ribbon mics, but the stand adapters have worn out. These work very well for my purposes (almost daily professional use) and I don’t have any serious complaints. In some positions the screws that tighten to the mic are tricky to reach, but it’s easy to change the angle, get the mic in place, and then finalize the positioning.

I bought this to replace a shock mount that had broken, and I like it a lot! I love how the pop filter is incorporated into the design of the unit, no having to clip it on your mic stand and be in the way. It is a little hard to get it adjusted just from the design it kinda slips into little grooves and they don't move easily, which could be a good thing. Since your pop filter needs to stay still, it doesn't bother me. That's usually something you set once and forget it. I'd definitely recommend this mount for anyone. I was a bit leary of the design with the knobs you turn to secure the mic, as my old one screwed in a the bottom, but it holds it solid and so far no slipping.

Trying to find a shock mount for the Fifine K678? this one works perfectly. I really enjoy the detachable pop filter, super easy to take on and off. Love this thing
