This microscope is decent. It is fairly easy to use and set up. The picture is just not the clearest and it is a little difficult to center the slide you are trying to look at. The slides that come with it are nice. Works decently but would like it to be clearer and easier to center for the price.

I think this is a very durable well made pocket microscope that's a great way to spark curiosity in young scientists. With 1000x magnification, kids can explore tiny details, and the photo and video capture feature makes it even more exciting. The adjustable LED light helps with clear viewing, and its portable design makes it easy to take anywhere. A great STEM gift for young kids to help with mental development.

Got this for my 3 year old granddaughters. They liked looking at grass blades close up. We will use it a lot more now that the weather is warming up.

If you have curious kids at home or in a classroom, this is a fun portable learning toy with a 2" viewing screen. It's straightforward to charge with a USB port and the charge lasts a couple of hours.It lets you zoom in on objects and see them close up, good for observing plants and bugs, and there's an additional zoom button. A built-in light makes the viewing area more clear.It can be focused with an accessible thumb wheel on the side and has a built-in camera that stores images on a 32 Gbyte memory card.Includes a tripod.Make sure that kids using it don't dip it in water or let it get extra wet on a rainy day. There are some included slides that can be enjoyed if it's too wet to go outside.This is the kind of toy I would have loved as a child.

This is such a cool little microscope! It works well and is easy enough to use that my 4-year old figured it out in just a couple of minutes! It comes with its own set of slides to view (slides are easy to switch out and insert, as well), and microscope settings are straightforward and simple to focus, etc. Unfortunately the screen on ours stopped working after accidentally getting wet but before that happened, we never had a problem! It comes with its own charging cable as well! I wish there was an option to purchase additional slides - other than that this is a perfect item!

This is the perfect microscope for curious kids.Easy to use and portable for them to take outside. The charge lasts plenty of time for a few play sessions but we usually just keep ours fully charged, also charges fast and auto shuts off after some time to save power.This isn’t an actual microscope that you can see germs with but you can zoom in extremely close with two different settings to see close and ulta close as well as an additional zoom button if you want even closer. It is really neat. There is a light that shines down when it’s on so that whatever you are looking at has the best lighting to see. You can also store pictures of the things you’ve looked at. My child is 5 and this is the perfect gift for her and is age appropriate, I even have fun with this so I’d say this would even be a cool gift for an older child or preteen. Within just a few sessions playing she had it completely figured out. Quality is excellent.This Helps your child focus and slow down as well because it takes concentration to focus the lense (not hard though) also teaches them to “stop and smell the roses” if you will.Microscope also comes with slides like fish scale, grasshopper wing, wool, ect. But we’ve found that it’s most fun to just explore things around the house.My daughter likes to zoom in on freckles and bugs and it is really cool.The price for this toy is a steal- you won’t regret buying this if you’re considering it.

This item has potential to be really cool for younger curious souls, but the slides it came with were underwhelming to say the least.The viewing area is designed so that you can only view items that are on microscope slides. Unlike similar products, you can’t just place the microscope over any object you want to see magnified. The slides it included don’t appear to be real slides, but just tiny pictures of random, not very interesting things. Like a fish gill, for example. It’s VERY basic and elementary in what it provides for viewing. I would compare the quality of what I saw to a 4th grade science book figure of something boring under a microscope. Also, it doesn’t provide any blank slides for you to make your own viewing items, so its use is extremely limited.Basically, my son and I went through all of the slides as soon as we opened it and when we were done he said “cool” and he walked away after he realized the only thing he could use it for was to look at the few slides that came were provided.The functionality of the microscope was kind of cool because you could take pictures and videos of the slide being viewed and save them onto the memory card. It seems to have a decent amount of storage space on the memory card, and the pictures were of fairly decent quality. Unfortunately, the slides are so boring that there’s really no point in taking a picture or a video of any of them.It would be MUCH better if it provided blank slides, suggestions on what and how to position items on the blank slides yourself, and/or if it had a removable slide holder so that you could do something like…view a leaf or a bug from the yard. Or look at the carpet or your own finger up close and personal (that was always creepy to me when I was a kid).Basically, it’s not a microscope, it’s a glorified magnifying glass with a viewfinder that only holds pre printed slides. This might be a good gift for a toddler who seems to be taking an interest in things on a closer level than the naked eye, but elementary aged kids won’t be very impressed. Or, not for long, anyway.
