Pretty fun for kids to play with. It might be shaped like a camcorder, but it doesn't function too well at a distance. It excels up close, though.The focus wheel can be finicky, but a 5-year-old could understand it well enough. I like this over others as it lets you keep some distance from what you're looking at. Instead of literally laying the scope on whatever bug you're inspecting, you can keep a foot away or so. Up close, the magnification is impressive for a toy.When using it as a camera, it's best used at 1X magnification. Even then, the picture is pretty zoomed in and someone's face could only fit in the photo if they're standing 8' away.

Cute handheld digital “microscope”, but I would describe this as a digital camera, not a microscope. The product is a nice introduction for young ones that are wanting to explore their part of the world through observation and photography. The “microscope” has a 2” pop-out screen for viewing, an LED light, focusing barrel, capture button, review button, in and out zoom buttons, TF card slot - holds up to a 64GB memory card (The camera has built in memory that will hold approx. 200 pictures), and a charging port (it does come with a charger as shown in 3 of my photos). There is an option to hook the “miscroscope” up to a computer using the usb cable so you can have a bigger screen for viewing purposes. I have given the product 3 stars, my reasoning, I was disappointed with the quality of the zoom and focus.

This is a cute and easy to use magnifying camera. It did take a little coaching for my child to understand how to use it properly, but once he figured it out he was investigating everything. He really enjoys seeing the different details of fabrics, the way skin looks up close, and especially how his art on the walls looks. The adjustment knob is easy to use. The handle is adjustable as well, so it's almost guaranteed to fit and sized hand.

My daughter loves this little microscope and is always out exploring for new things to look at. Having a memory card and picture mode is great and makes it fun to look at everything later on in detail. Very user-friendly!

Great toy for kids. So fun being able to see things up close. Easy to use and charge. Note that it only works as a microscope. Fun STEM activity. I recommend the product. Pretty to use too.

Excellent toy for encouraging teaching with children. They love to experiment with it and look at all different kinds of things from insects to a blade of grass. Hours of fun and entertainment along with a great learning experience. Easy to use and cute pink colors with protective lens cover and cute design. Works well and will not disappoint.

My son LOVES this microscope. It took a minute to figure out how best to place and focus it, but once you do it's amazing to see things super close. The screen is small, but has a clear picture and is a good size for kids. The design is cute, but quickly ignored by how much fun the microscope itself is. He's been running around the house trying it on everything, everyone, and every pet. Highly recommended for kids that like to explore the world around them!
