About this item

  • Ramped cogs aid in shifting under load
  • Continuously molded construction maintains straightness and durability
  • Compatible with standard HG freehub bodies and 10-speed chains
  • Cassette Cogs: 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-34-40-48

Sometimes less is more. With 10-speeds, 11-48t range and evenly spaced gear steps, the ADVENT X cassette allows riders to shift less often to find the right gear, while still having enough range to ride what they want. Fewer cogs also means less weight, a wider chain for better mud shedding -- it even fits on standard 10-speed freehub bodies so you don't need to buy new wheels for no reason. In short, it's everything you want in a high end drivetrain.Features-Two alloy large cogs and a full alloy spider eliminate unwanted weight-Ramped cogs aid in shifting under load-Maintains straightness and durability-Compatible with standard HG freehub bodies and 10-speed chainsItem Specifications-Color:Black-Defined Color:Black-Cassette Body Type:/ 8, 9, 10 Speed-Range:11-48-Cassette Cogs:11-13-15-18-21-24-28-34-40-48-Weight:425 g-Drivetrain Speeds:10

Perfect fit for 10 speed MicroSHIFT Advent X drivetrain, and reasonably priced. This version has the aluminum spider, while my OEM wheels came with the all-steel version. And don't forget the 1.85mm hub spacer if you're mounting this on an 11-speed HG hub!

The Advent X drivetrain is easy to install (there are great videos available I'd recommend watching just to ensure proper setup) and it shifts well enough especially considering the price. The seller, Bicycle Addiction, was great. The cassette I received had an incorrect cog included. This wasn't Bicycle Addiction's fault as the packaging was factory sealed. It was simply a strange one-off issue and these things happen. I reached out to Bicycle Addiction and received a response in fewer than 24 hours. There was no back and forth or inquiry. Their first response was that they'd replace the cassette. For future purchases I will first check out Bicycle Addiftion's Amazon options. It was unfortunate that the cassette had an incorrect cog but the seller's timely response and solution made for a positive end result.

Wanted to save a bit of weight and this definitely did. It is much lighter and still seems plenty strong. The only way you'd bend it, I think, would be on a neglegent shift under extreme load. Shifting is super smooth. Very happy with the purchase.

Very good build quality. I've put these on my older gravel bike and an older mountain bike. Shifting is great. Gear ratio spacing is about as good as you can get with such a wide spread and only 10 gears. Durability remains to be seen, I don't have many miles on it yet, but I'll report back.

I threw this on my bike as soon as I got it. About 2 weeks later, on a ride, the bike started shifting horribly and chain wouldn't stay in the 2nd and 3rd largest gears. Turns out the second largest cog bent sideways. I suspect from a mis-shift under load, but I don't remember when it happened. It's kind of hard to believe as I've never bent a cassette cog like this (I've had aluminum Sunrace cassettes). I also have the full steel version of this cassette and that (for obvious reasons) never had any issues later. I suspect it may be due to using the single shift trail pro trigger instead of the multishift trigger (downshifting), and limiting the chain so it can't float into place quite as well? That would be my warning, just be sure to pair the ebike/non-ebike shifters and cassettes. Other than that, I'm not dumb with my shifts, I try to be nice to my drivetrains, they cost a lot of money!Aside from this issue, it is competitively lightweight and shifts decently and reliably, although not quite as crisp or fast as some other brands. The downshifting definitely has more resistance, especially with the derailleur clutch on. (comparing this to Saint 10spd)

Inexpensive Quality Drivertrain. It may not look as polished as some other option. But it works as well as them.Shift quality isnt super smooth like a Shimano xt or a Sram. But its as reliable per shift. And as my drivetrain is wearing in it is getting smoother.( This has to do with microshifts version of hyperglyde shift gates on the cassette, There not as form fitting to the chain as the Big S companies). That being said. Its still a solid crisp and reliable shift. Id buy it again in a heartbeat. If they had a 6 star rating, Thats what id give it. Setup wasnt difficult. They give you a tool to setup B tension to the proper gap. And instalation is just like the other brands. With over a Dozen XC rides under its belt. I havent has to make any major tweaks. besides cleaning and lubing.

Can’t beat the value. Quality looks good but first cassette skipped on 7th gear after a few months, about 500km which I thought was pretty average. Could of been chain so I’ve bought a second one (so cheap, why not) and hopefully this one will last longer. I’m running an 11spd chain which makes shifting better.

This replaced an 11-36 10 speed XT cassette. I dropped an insane 2 oz. and increased my gear range 30%, while shifting performance matched or beat the XT.Several other reviews suggested using an 11 speed chain with this cassette. I took this advice without trying a 10 speed chain, and everything worked without further tampering.

My 6 y.o. son can now punch through short steep things I did not think are possible with his size. He is running 28 at the front and this 48 at the back helps a lot. He also surprised us a few times running away on uphill sections while we had a short chat after a drink stop. In many cases we don't need 11 or 12 speed setups, but the range is critical. This cassette delivers it with very light weight of 420gm. Oh, important you can back spin without chain drops/jams on the cassette, which was the problem with SRAM cassette.
