I wanted to try this because it was $57 when I bought it, and that seemed like a reasonable price to try a midi controller. Unlike some competitors, this doesn't come with any software other than some very basic tool to set up keys, velocity, etc., you won't be making music with it. I tried it out using Soundtrap (online free DAW) and played it for a bit. The build quality seems pretty decent at this price point, but it is plastic and doesn't feel very sturdy. What pushed me over the edge was how stiff the keys were, making it very uncomfortable to play and get consistent sound. I should be able to play without pounding the keys and hoping that I get a solid sound out of it. At the end of the day, I decided to return it and pay a little more for a controller that comes with software and has a better feeling build quality.

I purchased in October for Xmas and my son opened it today December 24th. He was excited because it was on his wish list. There is something wrong with the wiring. It won’t connect or loses connection. Let’s don’t work. Tried calling Amazon they said call the manufacturer and there was no answer. Can’t return it because the return date was end of November. Save your money and buy something better quality. I have a sad kid and I am out the money.

It does the bare minimum at being a midi controller, you can get around with it but other options have better ableton integration.

Nice style, and size. The issue we had was finding the software needed to install in order to use the keyboard. We used the directions and the websites provided and kept going around in circles. Only to never find the right software needed for my grandson.I would have returned the keyboard, but missed the cutoff because it was a gift.If you have are able to connect, please reply as I would like for my grandson to use the item.

I am not sure I understand some of the negative reviews, as this is an absolutely awesome product, and a steal for the price point.. I have been using the Korg Midi Controller (NANOKEY-ST) devices, that are also very nice, but really wanted the sliders… it’s ability to ‘on the fly’ switch midi In/out channels, is amazing, and simple just using the keypad! I can start with midi channel one, and switch to any of the 16 available midi channels, with no effort, (I have not seen this on any other offering) .. the sliders are smooth and easily accessible, the drum pads are programmable, my only wishlist for this device would be a touchpad like the Korg, and Bluetooth.. people! This thing is under 80 bucks! I am tempted to buy another just to control my hardware synthesizers! The downloadable software is just fine, simple and to the point, so you don’t really need to rely on doing ‘midi learn’ to program presets…

Anyone, even beginners, can easily use this midi controller! It is simple to use and works great! Material quality is very good, the sliders, knobs and keys work and feel terrific. The pads activate with With a light touch and they illuminate when used which is a nice touch. It is programmable, you can shift the keyboard octave continuously up and down with the left-right arrows (with LEDs as indicators) and the “pitch up”, “pitch down” and “modulation” buttons work flawlessly. The added bonus of the carrying bag helps protect it when on the go. I love this keyboard!

The world tuna midi controller - The world tuna midi controller is one of the few midi controllers that I own . It has 25 keys , 8 drum pads, octave change buttons and 8 levers and control nobs that act as different functions depending on what daw you are working with and how you have them programmed. It is a satin white color with brown sides and black buttons, which I find particularly nice to look at . Anyone who doesn't have a mini midi controller is definitely missing out and at this price point the world tuna mini is definitely a good buy . The tuna mini loaded up easily in my daw which is " reaper and ableton live". The keys react well to the touch and are touch sensitive which comes in handy especially for drum sounds. This is a great control for people who record on the go , and for home studios. I have a few controllers so this became my packed up and ready for the rdcontroller , that way I am not plugging and unplugging I constantly from my studio . It is a perfect 2ndary controller for me , it would be my main controller if I didn't already have a few others. These controllers are amazing for recording music. Depending on your daw and software you can turn this thing into everything from a piano , to a drum set, to a saxophone , and everything in between . I went a long time with only a guitar in my studio , and everything was done via "midi". Is this the best midi controller ...? No ... is it the best at its price point ? Absolutely. Musicians on a budget , people getting into recording music , kids, adults and everything in between will enjoy the Tuna mini. I have been playing music for 30 years and have had every instrument you can imagine and I am very glad to have the Tuna Midi Mini.
