This fit exactly ! The inside space for your flange is 2.25" in diameter. This is an all metal pewter plate. Well made, no plastic parts. I bought Pewter and have a brushed nickel flange.

I added tiles on my wall and it added about an inch to the wall so my flange cover wouldn't screw in anymore, couldn't find an extender short enough to fit, this not only hid the imperfections from the drilling of the tile but it was snug enough so thati didn't need to screw the cover on. I just glued this directly on the tile and it holds well.
